Katie P.O.V

right now it was 12:00pm and I was just finishing up at work, I was just cleaning the last table when my boss came up to me.

"Katie can you lock up tonight, I have to dash" he says chucking me the Keys

"Sure" I say nodding with a small smile.

I finish cleaning the tables and also finish any thing else I need to do so that this place is perfect for the morning.

I locked up the door to the cafe and started walking home.

I live 10-15 minuets away from here so it shouldn't take to long.

It was 12:45 right now, I have pretty shit working hours but I don't mind considering my co-workers are my friends.

But its quite dark and there are about three street lamps the way I have to take, so it's not very bright and I can barley see a thing.

I'm not usually afraid of the dark but some nights it gets really creepy.

I was walking down the streets when I heard a grunt followed by some Yelling.

What's going on?

I walked up to the ally that the noise was coming from and see a group of 6 boys beating up a man.

The one punching him was really going for it as if there was no time to take a break.

I'm pretty sure the man was unconscious but that didn't stop the other guy from punching him.

What do I do? I can't just leave and act like I didn't see anything!

I decided to hide behind one of the dumpsters and wait for the group of boys to leave so I could call an ambulance for the poor guy.

Not going to lie I am so scared, what if they find me?

My hands start to sweat and my breathing is uneasy, but if I leave I would never stop thinking about what might have happened or what k could have prevented.

It's been around two minutes and all I have heard is the sound of punches, grunts and yelling.

I hear a gun shot go off and I have to throw my hand over my mouth to keep myself from screaming in terror.

"Let's go" I faintly hear one of the boys say.

"Fine" another spits.

As they are walking away I get out my phone to ring an ambulance but my phone started ringing on full volume instead.

Shit I thought to myself.

it was my mum.

I am desperately trying to stop the ringing from continuing.

Before I know it I feel an arm wrap around my waist and a hand cover my mouth.
