Chapter 12

Once Armin and Colt brought the Warrior Candidates to the shelter, someone was already waiting for them, she was wearing a cloak and Armin said, "Bring these people inside."

"Of course." But once Armin left, the girl turned and brought the people in, and Colt asked, "Who are you?"

"A friend of Armin's." The girl said. "I'm not sure if anywhere's safe. Get as far from the plaza as possible."

"No, I'm joining the fight too! If I can beat those devils, I will be able to become the Good Eldian and get to be the next Armored Titan." Gabi yelled.

"You're still saying that?" Udo yelled, but Gabi already left.

"Wait Gabi!" Before Zofia and Udo could chase after them, the girl stopped them and said, "I'll bring her back."

Then the girl also left to chase after Gabi, leaving Colt with the two kids. Gabi continued running and made her way to the battle zone and followed the military cars. "Hey, stop! You're headed towards a war zone!" A guard noticed her and asked her to stop.

"Gabi!" The other guard recognized her. "What are you doing here?"

Gabi stopped in front of them. "Mr. Gateguard! I'll fight, so let me through!"

The guard held her shoulder. "Don't be an idiot, brat! You head back home and..."

Just then, an explosion happened behind the guard, and they turned to see one Military Car explode. "What the?" "Enemy attack?!" "From where?!"

Then the rest of the military cars exploded when two scouts flew above them. "They're above!" "Shit!" Both guards were trying to shoot at the scouts. The guard turned to Gabi and said, "Go on, Gabi! Run!"

But then, the first guard was shot and fell to the ground. "Hey, are you-?" And the guard who asked Gabi to leave also got shot in the head and was killed.

Gabi stared at the guard with wide eyes, "Mister..." She turned to see Sasha reloading her rifle.

"Ms. Braus? No way..." Gabi opened her mouth in shock, and at the same time, Connie, who was wearing the same gear as those island devils, arrived and said, "The side's blocked off. Let's go, Sasha."

"Connie, did you forget about the lights?" Sasha asked while grabbing a flashlight from her belt and turning it on.

"Oh, right." Connie mumbled and turned the flashlight on and flew to a tall tower before they took off.

Gabi watched them leave still standing there. She looked back at the guard's bodies, her hair covered her face and she gritted her teeth with rage and grabbed the rifle from one of the guards. "Damn... to think Ms. Braus and Mr. Springer are also traitors!"

Connie and Sasha met up with Jean. "Jean, we stalled the reinforcements."

"And the lights?" Jean asked.

"They're all in place." Sasha replied.

"Are things going well?" Connie continued to ask.

"For the time being." Jean looked to the side.

Eren and Mikasa were still fighting the War Hammer Titan. They flew around as the Titan tried to slam Eren with the sword. The Titan held the sword in both hands and looked around to where they had gone.

"As long as we take that thing out in time. But who knows? Anything can happen at this moment." Jean said.

The War Hammer spotted Eren and sent a heavy swing at him, but Mikasa moved in time and flew above the Titan, she threw a Thunder Spear on her leg and exploded it.
