The Island of Devils

Chapter 33

The door opened as Eren, Mikasa, and Levi walked in. Eren said, "Brother, we have something to discuss."

Zeke looked at him and asked, "What about it?"

"About the Eldian euthanization plan." Eren said while taking a seat and sitting. "I told you that this plan was messed up, however, after the discussion, we have come to a conclusion."

Zeke stared at him and asked, "And what is it?"

"I would go with the Eldian euthanization plan, but only on a condition that both Marley and Paradis Island's Eldian population were unaffected."

"This caused him to be surprised, Zeke asked, "I see... for Paradis Island, it was because there weren't any other races who would treat them horribly. But why would you spare Marley?"

"Marley has the second most amount of Eldian population." Eren said. "And with how Marley was also the one who made the barrier between Eldians and other nations worse, we will have to eliminate this threat. Aunt Fay died because of those officers feeding her to the dogs, they have been using the Pure Titans on our island and in other nations. I knew you had a part in it, but you did it to save yourself, so I could overlook that."

"I see..." Zeke said. "You're telling me this because you've already done it?"

"Yes, we've already done it. Tomorrow, I am going to do the same thing as Willy Tybur did at Liberio. The stage was ready."

Then Eren, Mikasa, and Levi left, Zeke slumped on the chair and muttered, "Mr. Ksaver, did this mean we have succeeded?"

In another room, Annie and Armin finished training and they were taking a rest. Gloria approached and asked, "Can I sit here?"

"Not at all." Armin said. Annie said, "Gloria Tybur, right? You were the one who brought my father to this island along with the other families of those who live on this island?"

"Yeah, Annie Leonhart. You're probably surprised to learn that I'm from the Tybur family, right?" Gloria said, "It was by no means a happy story."

(Flashback)

Gloria was walking with her family on the streets, she noticed a lot of people being beaten, and she asked, "Hey, Mama, why would that guy be beaten like that? What did he do?"

Her mother said, "That's because he's an Eldian, Eldians were children of the devil, they would bring disaster to all of us."

"Devils..." Gloria muttered, this only got her more interested in learning about the so-called devils.

By reading a lot of books in the library, she managed to learn about the whole Eldian history, most of the words were talked about how Eldia used to destroy nations and terrorize Marley, and how a hero named Helios saved the world by defeating Karl Fritz.

At home, Gloria was walking on the road and she overheard a family discussion. "So Lara was going to be the one to inherit the War Hammer Titan?"

"That's right. With Willy still needing to be the bridge between Marley and the other nations, we would have to let the second eldest, Lara, be the War Hammer Titan." 

Now Gloria was confused, she thought that all of the Titans were in Marley's hands as they were going to give to the Warriors. "I shouldn't have pried about this." Gloria shrugged as she tried to focus on her studies as a nurse.

Years passed, Gloria continued to see how Eldians were beaten and how some Eldian children were being punished, she tried to save the children, only to be scolded that she shouldn't help those filthy devils. And this caused her to show pity to the Eldians.
