The Island of Devils

Chapter 15

At the airship, the Scouts were making their way over as they surrounded the ship, one of them was Jean, who was currently giving orders to everyone. "Protect the airship from below! Use every last shot you've got!"

Koslow, Falco, and Gabi watched from the window and noticed the scouts going to the ship. "They're retreating..." Koslow mumbled. "Does this mean we're safe?"

Koslow and Falco watched in small confusion while Gabi raised her eyebrows. "They're running." She mumbled, still staring at the Scouts before an enraged expression took over.

She turned around and took the rifle from around her shoulder and began to dash out of the building, which made Falco gasp and he shouted after her. "Gabi!"

She descended the stairs as she yelled in fury. "Eren Yeager!" She then sprinted outside and went to chase those island devils down while Falco started chasing down Gabi, still shouting her name. "Gabi!"

"You won't get away! I'm gonna kill you!" Gabi yelled.

The Scouts all continued to protect the airship, shooting down any Marleyan soldier they saw as the airship continued to fly on. Approaching the ship, Mikasa used one of her hooks against the wood of the airship and flew her to the side.

Mikasa let Eren go as he clung onto the rope, Mikasa also held onto the rope as well. Then suddenly, the metal door leading to the entrance inside the ship started slowly to open, revealing Armin on the other side. Armin kneeled to one knee and offered his hand to him, bringing him up while Mikasa was doing the same.

When they finally got to the airship, Eren just stared at the wooden floor, his hair covering his eyes and face.

"Everything has been going as you wanted." Eren looked up to see Levi.

"Not yet. We have to save Sasha." Eren said. Annie came and Armin asked, "Your father was on the flying boat?"

"Yeah. And the power of the 9?" Annie asked.

"Lead me to the Beast Titan." Eren said as the others brought them there.

Outside the airship, the Marleyan soldiers continued shooting up at the Scouts, who were missing them by a long shot while the Scouts were knocked down one by one. "Stop them! Kill every last one you can!" A Marleyan shouted as he and another shot up at them, but they easily dodged as they clung onto the airship.

Jean yelled, "Everybody, in! They've got nothing to take down an airship!"

"Jean!" A man shouted, flying his way over to him. After he got close, Jean turned to the soldier. "You go! I'll hold the rear!"

Jean nodded, flying his way to the airship. "It's all on you, Commander Lobov!"

The man, Lobov, shouted back to remind him. "I told you, I'm a recruit!"

Jean looked down at him as Lobov turned and lowered himself down to shoot at the Marleyan soldiers. "Nobody needs the Garrison anymore! Especially not some overpaid geezer!"

Jean eventually looked away and up at one of the entrances of the ship and saw Connie and Sasha waiting for him, hands out as they called to him.

"Jean!" "Grab on!"

He pushed himself higher and soon enough, he made his way over to them. He grabbed onto Sasha's hand, making the two move over to make more room, and pulled him in as Jean was in a kneeling position. "Who's left?" He asked Connie.

"Still waiting on Lima Squad." Connie replied.

"As far as we know, there're six casualties." Sasha informed him, which made Jean's face contort and he looked down. "I see... Shit!"
