Big Momma was walking down the snow covered street towards her bar, a well-known coverup for the fighting arena that was held just in the basement of the building. Her eyes gleaming as she thinks of the new contestants that will be revealed at midnight, only three hours away.
But her inner excitement was cut short at the soft sound of a sniffle, before a shaky hum that resembled a tune could be heard from the alleyway she stands in front of. Her feet lead her towards the sound, her voice calling out to whoever was there.
"You there! Stop hiding!"
Her harsh tone was quickly cut short when she sees a pair of dull (e/c) eyes staring up at her.
It was a child, who seemed to be no older than two. Her dress torn in various places easily lets the cold wind envelope her body. Big Momma's eyes soften at the sight of the girl, slowly crouching in front of her to show that she meant no threat.
"Was that you humming that lovely dovely tune?"
The small girl nods quietly to her question, her eyes flicking between the black irises and the fur of her purple coat. It looked positively warm to the girl.
Big Momma, noticing her gaze drifting elsewhere, gives a soft chuckle before beginning to unbutton her coat. A shiver racks through her body, but the woman paid it no mind as she had more important things to think about.
"What's your name, sweet one?"
Before the girl could register the question, Big Momma had carefully wrapped her arms around the child, bringing her into the coat with her in hopes of sharing some warmth. Quickly buttoning the large coat around the two of them, she begins her walk once again, this time with a small child in her arms.
"(Y/n)."
Big Momma couldn't help the small smile that begins to form on her lips at hearing the soft voice from the small girl,
"(Y/n), what a sweet name."
When they arrived at the bar, (y/n) had easily fallen asleep in Big Momma's arms, soft snores leaving her lips as she nuzzles closer to the woman.
Many patrons waved and said their hello's to the familiar yokai, voicing their excitement for the upcoming battle. But she paid them no mind, too focused on getting the young girl into more comfortable clothes.
"Gerald, go pick up some comfy womfy pajamas for this little girly."
The fox hybrid in question nods to her request, glancing down at the sleeping child before heading out to complete the orders he was given. Gerald was one of Big Momma's loyal workers, staying with her for well over a decade, doing what she wanted without question.
At hearing somebody calling her name, Big Momma turns around to find the leader of the Hamato Clan, everyone knew him as 'Splinter'. Her smile widens at seeing four turtle tots accompanying him; the red one holding his left hand, the blue holding his right, the orange asleep in cloth on his chest while the purple was the same on his back.
"Long time, no see, old friend."
Splinter says as he sits down at the table Big Momma had decided to rest at, the girl in her arms still fast sleep even with the noises around her.
The two clan leaders had a rocky past, from dating each other to Big Momma trying to get him to join her battle nexus. But when the timing was needed, they would always help each other out.
"Of course, it's good to see the little turtley boos again."
Big momma's voice came out as a soft coo as she waves towards the brothers, receiving small ones in return. Splinter nods before looking down at the (h/c)-haired child in her lap, "And who might this be?"
A proud smile makes its way onto Big Momma's lips as she looks down at the girl, brushing her fingers over her hair with a soft hum.
"She's my little Dove."
