She took off the dress and changed into pajamas that the hotel offered and threw herself on the bed. "Why did I run off like that?! I'm so stupid! All because I freaked out that I can't dance! I hope I didn't mess up..." Kendall said to herself. She turned her head and went on her phone. "Wow... This place has good wifi." Kendall said. She was on her phone for a good amount of time until she fell asleep.
The next morning, she was checking out of the hotel. She stepped outside, carrying her purse and bag that she got from the hotel with her stuff in it. "Where do I go now?" Kendall asked herself.
She got out her cell phone and remembered something. "Oh, right! I can call Mike to see if I could stay for a while. I can't survive on my own right now." Kendall said.
She got out the piece of paper that had a phone number on it, and dialed the number. "This is Noble Michel speaking." Mike said over the phone. "Hello Mike. This is Kendall Ferreira." Kendall said. "Oh! I'm glad that I could talk to you again! What did you call me for?" Mike asked. "Well... Uh... I don't have anywhere to live right now. It's a complicated story." Kendall said. "Oh, dear. It sounds like you're in a tight situation. I'll have Zain pick you up. Where are you at?" Mike asked. She told him where she was going to be. "Alright, my dear. He'll be there shortly. Goodbye for now." Mike said and hung up.
She waited at the spot where Zain was going to pick her up. She saw a limousine drive up next to her. Zain got out and opened the door for her. "Thank you." Kendall said and went in.
He got in the driver's seat and drove off. "Ms. Kendall, I'm delighted to see you again." Zain said. "Really? I'm happy to see you too." Kendall said. "I'm very sorry about what you're going through. His Lord informed me that you can stay at Noble Michel as long as you like." Zain said. "Thank you. Thank you so much, I had nowhere else to go." Kendall said. "Ms. Kendall, I wanted to ask, but what happened to where you were currently staying?" Zain asked. "Oh shoot! I can't just say that I just suddenly came from a different world! Think Kendall think!" Kendall thought. "Well... I got kicked out because I didn't have enough money, but I'm grateful now that I have a place to go to." Kendall said. "Is that convincing enough?" Kendall thought. He smiled at the rear view mirror. "You are always welcome at Noble Michel. I still feel bad about splashing you, and you did save his Lord's life." Zain said. "It's fine, and I couldn't just sit there when he was in that state." Kendall said and laughed it off.
They arrived at Noble Michel once again. Zain opened the door for her and she got out. "May I take your bag?" Zain asked. "I'm fine carrying it." Kendall said. "Please, Ms. Kendall. It's the least I can do." Zain said. "Well... Ok. Thank you." Kendall said. She handed him her bag and followed him in the castle.
He put the suitcase down when they both entered a bedroom. "This is where you'll be staying." Zain said. She looked around the room. "This is so nice..." Kendall said. "I'm glad you like it. I'll have you settle in. I'll come back within an hour, and I'll come get you and take you to his Lord." Zain said. "Alright, thank you very much." Kendall said. "Before that, may I exchange phone numbers with you so I could call you if you're out or I can't find you right away?" Zain asked. "Sure thing." Kendall said.
Both of them exchange phone numbers. "Thank you, Ms. Kendall. Please excuse me." Zain said and left. She unzipped her bag and started to take things out.
About an hour later, Zain knocked on the door. There was no answer. "Ms. Kendall?" Zain asked and opened the door. He saw her lying in the bed with headphones on.
He went over to her and placed his hand on her shoulder. She snapped back to reality and took off her headphones. "Zain, when did you get here?" Kendall asked. "Just now." Zain said. She paused her music and put her phone away. "I'm sorry I didn't answer you. I was listening to music as you could tell." Kendall said. "That's alright. I also want to ask this. You're still like a child, but you stated that you were living on your own. Where are your parents?" Zain asked. "My parents are alive in the real world, but this the Otome world, and my parents are not here. So... I have to think of something..." Kendall thought. "They've... Gone to another place." Kendall said. "I see... I'm sorry about that. Would you like to talk about it with me after you have met his lord?" Zain asked. "Sure..." Kendall answered. "I feel bad for lying, but I can't say that I'm from another world, so I'll have to go along with this..." Kendall thought. (A/N: This lie will forever haunt me XD)
They went downstairs to meet Noble Michel. "Welcome back, my dear." Mike said. "It's good to be back." Kendall said. "I'm really sorry about what happened, but you may stay here as long as you like." Mike said. "Thank you very much." Kendall said and bowed. "There's no need to be formal with me, my dear. Remember?" Mike asked. "I know, but I'm feeling grateful that you're letting me stay here, and I want to show my gratitude." Kendall said. "It's fine, my dear. I know that you'll feel lonely at times, so I'll let the other princes know that you'll be staying here, and they could invite you to their kingdom sometime." Mike said. "R-really?" Kendall asked. "Yes. I saw you be friendly with all of them at the party. They all seem to think good of you." Mike said. "I would like that. Thank you so much." Kendall said. "Sweet! I can hang out with them!" Kendall thought. "It's no trouble at all. You may rest up, I'm sure you had a tiring day even though it's only the afternoon." Mike said. "I will." Kendall said. She bowed and followed Zain to her room.
They both were in the room again. She inhaled and exhaled. "I can tell you now..." Kendall said. "Please do." Zain said. "Alright. I lost my parents at a young age. My mother and father had a serious illness even before I was born. With that, I had to learn how to cook and clean by myself at a young age to help support my family. Before I knew it, one morning, I was checking up on my parents and they wouldn't wake up. I had the ambulance come and take them away. I was only twelve at the time, and I had to somehow survive on my own, and it was really hard to do that." Kendall explained. "I hope that worked... I am here on my own, but like I said before, my parents are alive, but they're at the real world. It's so complicated!" Kendall thought.
Zain went over to her and patted her on the back. "Ms. Kendall. It seems like you had a hard life. It must have been tough going through that." Zain said. "It's alright. Thank you for listening to me." Kendall said. "I promise you this... I'll make your present enjoyable and have your future have many great opportunities." Zain said. "You really mean that?" Kendall asked. "I want to make it up. It sounds like you didn't live a good childhood, and so it's not too late to do what you want now." Zain said. "Thank you... This makes me really happy." Kendall said. He smiled at her. "I'm glad that you've told me this. Does this mean you trust me?" Zain asked. "Of course I trust you, and once again thank you for listening." Kendall said. "I'll assist you with anything at anytime." Zain said. His phone ringed in his pocket. "Please excuse me." Zain said and started to walk out the room, and answered his phone.
She smiled as she saw him go out the room. "I still feel bad, but I really do need a place to stay, and I don't have my parents with me in this world. If I'm stuck here, then so be it. I don't want to go back to the real world." Kendall thought. (A/N: I would if I could since the princes and butlers are awesome ^^)
