Days, weeks and months had passed away but an emptiness resided deep within Vihaan's heart as things had changed and shaped his and Naina's life overnight. Nothing was same the way it was when they met after a long separation period and a few more months after that. As if there own love wasn't enough to protect their togetherness from evil eyes. She had left him with no words that morning before he woke up with a handwritten note saying " Please don't let others know about what we have had among us last night. After discovering that I'm the end which cannot keep this equation in place I find myself at fault and not you. I'm leaving as things aren't same like before Vihaan, you don't wish to live without me in this world but I don't wish to live without our kid in this world even if it's at cost of my life. I do not want you to come after me or contact me. I guess you can give me this one thing if not what I had begged for to you last night. Our families aren't responsible for this, they won't be able to take it so please save them from this brunt.

I have loved you, I'll love you but I'm not sure if I'll See You Soon or not.

Only & Truly yours
Naina"

And since that day he hadn't heard a word from her. It was this emptiness that took him back to her memories when she was all over him in his life like a pleasant fragrance.

It was a bada khana party for Vihaan and his brothers in arm from while of paltan where Naina joined him. They had just achieved a short term goal and troops needed some refreshment with celebration around to take away the grief of losses incurred while accomplishing the tasks, the sacrifices made and to boost the morale for coming victorious over evil in valley.

All the ladies present were at par from one another. All draped in six yards of elegance with utmost grace and royalty literally shimmering from their demeanor. While the men were in their formals enjoying along with regimental songs and traditions. CO Saab was too in a light mood for a change and he stood there among his boys being such a jolly good guy opposite to all "good" adjectives she had heard from Vihaan about him over the calls at times when she called him at work.

CO Saab noticed her and came forward towards Naina and Vihaan. He came and introduced himself to her as a true gentleman he was and said, "Hello young lady, I'm Colonel Sushant Trivedi Vihaan's Commanding Officer. I hope he's not bringing in any trouble and taking good care of yours , after all you're like my daughter."

She was overwhelmed with this gesture. She had been part of fauj from past few years but hardly got to meet and know people like this in gatherings being busy with her own engagements at workfront. She responded with utmost respect towards the senior officer in command.

"Good Evening sir, I feel blessed to have a fatherly figure like you in this family of ours. It means a lot to me sir and yes He does take good care of me.", replied Naina with a huge smile on her face while stealing a glance at Vihaan

"Enjoy the evening child, make memories and live each moment that's what fauj has taught me. And as I know you are always busy with your duty as well so make most of it. I'll see you later. Excuse me.",said Col. Sushant and left Naina with her cold drink who was in between keeping an eye on her husband who seemed to have forgotten the fact that she was there too.

Once the CO had left Vihaan came back to her then both danced their heart out on the floor along with other ladies and gentlemen. When the party was over all returned to their respective accomodation. Naina and Vihaan sat out there in the lawn on the swing in embrace of each other. They didn't drank as they both disliked alcohol but this evening was enough to intoxicate them and they were lost in each other despite sitting so close to each other with barely any space left to even allow air to pass through.
