Second Date

The next day at the weathervane I walk inside and see Tyler at the counter. I smile and skip over to him. I lean on the counter and he smiles when he sees me.

"What's up?" he asks.

"Can I get a Hot-"

"Hot chocolate with two milk?" He smirks.

"Yep!" I say popping the p.

I sit down and he soon sits down and hands me my coffee.

"I didn't see you yesterday." I say. "Were you not working?"

"Oh yeah, uh, I was on break at the time I saw you as I returned though. But I didn't want to bother you."

"Oh okay. Um, well, you should have seen the scene at lunch yesterday. Your dad came in and arrested Wednesday's dad but then he got out this morning for something. Did you hear about that?"

"No, my dad barely talks to me about work stuff like that. He's almost never home."

"Aw, I'm sorry. Well, you know if you ever want to take me on a date again I'm pretty much always free."

"Oh, really?" He smirks.

"Oh yeah," I put my hands on his. "I am up for anything."

"Well do you want to maybe go out tomorrow night? My dad might not be home and we can go back to my house afterwards."

"I'd love that."

I pick up my coffee and strut out, only turning to look back as I close the door. I basically ran back to school to tell Enid.

That night as Enid and I are talking we hear screams. We run to the window and see fire on the grass. The fire spells something and it says, "Fire will rain."

I run down to the fire and begin using my powers to put it out. I dump water from the lake on top of it and it goes out quickly.
