When we arrive back at my house I was hoping Aizawa didn't back out last second, first step to making Pokémon acceptable in Japan was to show how sweet they are to my class. And that includes the teacher!
I walk up to the door and to my luck, Aizawa follows behind, a bit sluggishly but I get it he's probably tired, I heard he does his hero work at night.
"Show me the damn cat look a likes so I can get out of here," He says as we walk inside I notice he doesn't say it with as much annoyance as before, hopefully, that's a good sign. We walk inside and I immediately feel slightly embarrassed at how barren it looks, I never really owned furniture since I was always on the move.
"Uhm... sorry it's so empty I haven't really decorated the main areas, but the backyard came with benches plus I bet the kitties would love fresh air"
He doesn't reply and just follows me to the back yard, I thought I would let out more cats than I promised considering it wouldn't be fair if it was just Litten and skitty, I guide Aizawa to the glass door of the backyard and promise to be back quickly running to grab the pokeballs.
(I would deeply recommend to start playing Heart to Heart by Mac DeMarco here or any sad/comforting song you love)
It's so calm. I let out all the cat Pokémon I own and pet Aizawa pet his heart out, I was honestly terrified that my kitten especially Litten would scratch him since Litten was feisty but surprisingly Litten loves him. Aizawa had long since moved from the bench onto the grass with the rest of the Pokémon.
I decided to move with him a couple of minutes later my Liepard approached me and rested her head on my lap me petting her in silence with Aizawa petting both my Litten and Glameow at the same time, the rest off playing in the yard.
"How was your training anything I should help with?" Aizawa's voice ended the silence, it was at that moment I realize how much a of relaxing and fatherly tone Aizawa had (at least when he wasn't scolding).
"Uhm... I don't think so, everything went fine I won" I said a small smile appearing on my face.
"Well, I'll tell you what I noticed, you're holding back extremely. You could have easily knocked out Shoji but you didn't order the blue Pokémon to do so, Why?"
I pause shocked he noticed something as small as that he is one hell of a teacher. I look away from him staring at the Pokémon playing in the yard, feeling the soft grass beneath me through my pants. Why did I go easy? Was I scared? I've never been scared before, I mean I've practically ruined kids' dreams in Pokémon leagues even if I didn't mean to.
I've taken too long to answer so I just say what comes to mind.
"To be honest with you Mister, I don't know I guess I was just worried. I mean these are kids who have never seen anything like my Pokémon before wouldn't be such a great look if I gave a kid brain damage" I give a slight chuckle at the end.
