Diluc and Y/N have been dating for a while. A few years ago they bought an apartment for the both of them so that they could live together. Although, it sadly wasn't just them. Y/N had a cat. A fluffy grey cat with white spots and sly, yellow eyes. Diluc had nothing against it, he liked cats, but it always seemed to be taking up Y/N's attention lately... And Diluc was getting jealous of it.

Y/N spent most of their time with their floofy grey cat. His name was Dip n Dots and Y/N loved him. Everytime Diluc came into the room, Y/N was always petting Dip n Dots and combing his soft fur like he was a king. Even though Diluc didn't mind too much, it still bothered him at times. He would sit down beside them on the couch or lay down next to th in bed and watch as they stroked Dip n Dots sleek coat with their gentle hands.

In present time, Diluc and Y/N were sitting in the couch watching TV. Although, Y/N wasn't really paying attention much, since they were too busy giving all their love and attention to the cat. At times, it even felt like Dip n Dots was smirking at Diluc, like he knew what he was doing and doing it on purpose to tick off Diluc.

"Why don't we go out tonight?" Said Diluc suddenly. Y/N quickly put their head up to look Diluc, but then looked back down at Dip n Dots after replying.

"Oh... Well.. I can't." They replied.

"What do you mean? We have nothing to do today so.. I thought we could go to a restaurant or something." Diluc said as his face dropped in sadness.

"I have to take Dippie to the vet! He ate a piece of a lollipop I dropped, so now I'm worried he'll get sick!"

"Wasn't that.. Yesterday?" Diluc looked at Y/N in a puzzled manor.
"Uh well, I just wanna be sure that he's fine, ya know? Sorry babes!" Diluc quietly sighed and went back to watching the TV.

He stared at it mindlessly for about another 2 hours and finally decided to go to sleep. He wondered why his s/o spent so much more time with their cat than with their literal boyfriend. 'Whatever...' He thought as he lay sideways in bed. 'I'm probably just overreacting.' Then, he drifted off to sleep.

*Time skip*

The next day, Y/N was still, in fact, all over Dip n Dots. Diluc decided this was the day he would say something about it. 'I won't let this cat take away my time with MY lover!' He thought as he stood at the doorway to the living room. As he walked in, Y/N and Dip n Dots were playing with a little white feather on a stick.

Dip n Dots jumped up to catch it, but Y/N held it firmly above his head, so that he couldn't get to it. Diluc sighed and walked his way over to Y/N.

"Morning Y/N."

"Oh! Hey! Morning sweets!" Y/N smiled and replied to Diluc as they swung around the feather.

Y/N didn't pay attention and lost focus when they replied to Diluc, and so Dip n Dots successfully got to the feather and ripped it out of their hands.

"Agh!.. Oh well, good game Dippie!" Diluc slightly smiled at their faked annoyance at losing to a cat, but quickly went back to business.

"Y/N, theres something I want to talk to you about."

"O-oh.. Okay well let's sit down first and then tell me, 'cause I'm tired!" Y/N and Diluc sat down on the couch, leaving Dip n Dots alone by himself to tear up the feather.

"So, whaddya wanna talk about?" Y/N asked. Diluc sighed and looked seriously at Y/N.

"Look, I know this is going to sound silly, but listen to me atleast." Diluc started off.

"Mhm.. Go on."

"I just want you to pay more attention to me. You always give your attention to that cat, and.. It makes me jealous. You always seem so wrapped up in Dip n Dots that you forget that I'm here too.. You're boyfriend, in case you forgot." Then, Diluc heard Y/N giggling.

They were trying to stifle their laughter, but failed and could not hold in it. Y/N laughed for a good minute before they could even slightly compose themselves.

"Y-you.. Were jealous of our cat?! HAHHAAHAGSBJSDHNXK-" Y/N laughed like a maniac, until she looked at Diluc's still slightly serious, blushing face.

"Ahah.. Sorry! Okay okay, I'll spend more time with you if that's what you want. But I think you're kinda over exaggerating how much time I actually spend with Dip n Dots though! I only hang out with him for a couple of hours and then I'm with you for the rest of the day!" Y/N explained.

"More like 6 or 7 hours.. Trust me, I counted." Y/N looked at Diluc with a confused look on their face before Diluc finally said, "It doesn't matter, as long as I get to be with you longer then I'm fine."

"Okie dokie then, well as long as that's settled... Wanna play with Dip n Dots with me?" Y/N asked with a bright smile. Diluc sighed aggitately in his mind, but he was just glad to be with Y/N.
