Chapter 15 - You're Mine.

It was early in the morning and I was at work. I was so excited to get out of work. Peter was okay, due to the incident that happened at the amusement park. But we went to the hospital and he was give the sage to go home after 2 days. It wasn't a big injury. But back into what I was saying, I get payed every Tuesday, and that was perfect. Because today was a very special day, an important day.

IT WAS PETER'S BIRTHDAY!!

"Hey Y/N, you ready to clock out?" I turned around to see my friend, TK. "Hi TK! And yeah, haha. I have to go somewhere important." I gave them a warm smile. "Oh yeah? Why? What's up?" They looked intrigued by my question, and I was happy to answer it. "It's Peter's birthday today, and I don't think he knows that I remember it! I'm so excited to throw him a surprise birthday party." TK's expression in their face dropped. "Oh. Okay well, I'll leave you off to it." They turned away and left the room. Maybe I shouldn't have said that? Oh my fucking god, I'm a dickhead. I should be more mindful, considering TK's confession. But because I see them as a best friend, I often end up over sharing information, making them sad or upset. I just feel too comfortable with them. Maybe it's time to distance myself from them. They need to get over me.

**TIME PASSING**

I was coming out of the diner with my check in hand when I saw Peter outside. Waiting for me in the car. I opened the door and sat down. "Hi my love, how was work?" He turned on the car and started to drive. I flashed a smile at him. "It could've been better." He looked at me distraught. "Awww, I'm sorry about that dear. Do you wanna talk about it?" He placed his hand with mine. "It wasn't anything I couldn't fix, I think I just need to distance myself away from someone for a bit." I smiled weakly. He placed a subtle kiss on my cheek. "Okay, wanna go home?" He asked me, his eyes shifting to the road. "On second thought, I have to go to the store. Could you drop me off? I'll be back home by around 4:30." He quickly glanced at me, his mask falling for a quick second. Concern flooding his face. He thought for a minute or two before responding. "I guess you can, but please be careful, shoot me a text if anything. I'll drop you off by the store by the house next to the bakery." I gleamed with joy. "Of course, I'll be back in a bit." I said, opening the car door. "Love you!" He yelled while I got out. "I love you too." I gave him a finger heart and he watched me walk into the store.

Immediately, I went to go search for a present. I went to the clothing isle, and went to find matching hoodies or something of the sorts. Sooner or later, i found 2 hoodies in black, matching. They both said "I ❤️ my partner" I got two. Then I went to the pets isle to get something for Rat. After I got that, I went to go check out.

The total was $58.75. I paid, which left me with about $65 dollars left. I went to go to the bakery next store. I opened the door and went up to the counter. "Hi! Can I get a cake? Blue and white themed?" I didn't know what to say. A woman came up to the counter. "Yeah! What flavor?" I thought for a second. "Vanilla, and also can you maybe put blueberries on the top?" She grinned at me. "We already have a cake like that! Let me add blueberries and it's all yours." I couldn't contain my happiness. "Okay!" I blurted out.

I leaned against the window with my headphones on, listening to a song by MJ. Called Chicago. I've never seen that lady here before. Is she new? I was listening to it while looking at the window that I must've lost track of time. A couple minutes had already passed and it was 4:25. Shit! I bit my nails anxiously hoping the cake would be done soon. And then what I hoped for came true. I saw the lady wave to me and I ran over. "That'll be $45.50." She placed it in a bag. I took the money out of my wallet and handed it to her. She gave me back the change. "Have a nice day!" She waved to me. "Wait! Quick question, are you new here? I've never seen you before." She widened her eyes at me. "Oh yes! I'm a new employee! The names Sarah, nice to meet you!" She giggled a bit. "Nice! The names Y/N, I'll see you around Sarah!" She smiled and waved. "Okay! Goodbye Y/N!" As I walked out the door, I went home as fast I could, making sure not to drop anything.

**AT HOME**

I rung the doorbell and Peter answered in a heartbeat. "Hi darling!! How are you?" He answered shakily, like he just ran a marathon. "I'm good! And, why are you so out of breath? You were doing something?" He froze for a second. "I was chasing Rat around the whole house. She got out of her cage." I giggled. "Okay Mr. IChaseSnakes." I snickered and walked in. He eyed my bags. "Whatcha got there?" I grinned at him.

"Ohhhh nothing... maybe just your BIRTHDAY GIFT DUMMY!"
