Odette
Alice and Alfie were coming over tonight. I promised Alice a week ago I'd properly introduce them to Eric as we've become a lot closer since she was last here. I write to her almost everyday and have updated her about everything that has happened. I also had something important to discuss with her...
Running around the house I was trying to make sure everything was perfect. I made a grand dinner for everyone and cleaned the entire house. Eric said I was overthinking but this had to go perfect. My best friends were meeting the human who has been living with me for almost three months
"Odette, I think the house looks spotless" Eric said walking into the living room
"I just need things to go well"
"And they will" he pulled me into his chest and kissed my forehead
I melted into Eric's arms and found comfort. Our duo consisted of me always on edge and Eric staying relaxed. I honestly loved it, we balanced each other out well
"Promise me you'll be nice to Alfie even if he says something... rude. He is pretty protective over Alice and I "
Eric rolled his eyes, "I won't bother the kid, Odette"
"Good, he's only 18 and your a grown man so don't do anything childish" I scolded walking away
Looking down at my outfit I was still in a night gown and had to change. I sprinted to the bedroom to find a better outfit. Alice and Alfie would arrive around 6:30pm and I had a total of 30 minutes
I picked out the perfect blue dress, i had bought a few months ago at the market. The snow was also melting as spring was coming early this year. Since this was a fancy dinner I wanted to look my best! Looking for some jewelry I came across, a lingerie set I had hidden away. Picking them up an idea formed in my head...
Looking at the clock, I finished getting dressed and sat at the vanity adding some last minute blush. Eric opened the door and leaned against it, "you look beautiful"
"Stop" I giggled looking at him through the mirror
"It's just something I had to say" Eric walked closer and looked down at me
Whenever he stared in my eyes it felt like he would never leave me. His eyes were always soft when he looked at me and it made me feel so safe... secure. His face began to get closer to mine and I leaned in preparing for a kiss but I was mistaken as he dodged me and stood up clearing his throat
"Is there anything else I should know to prepare" he asked with a smile
Disappointed spread through my body as I scolded myself for thinking he was going to kiss me. That must have been so awkward as I looked desperate for him...
"ummm, Alice is more understanding than Alife but both are similar in personality" I stated turning around to add more powder to my face
"Alfie was recently enlisted to our military, so maybe you both can talk about that" I brought up trying to find something for Eric to work with and forget the embarrassing moment before
There was a knock at the door and my eyes widened. Running out the bedroom, I grabbed the door opening it, "Alice!"
I pulled her into a warm hug and invited the siblings inside, "Thank you for doing this" I whispered to Alice as Alfie stepped inside and glared at Eric who was at the dinner table
"Mmm, the things I do for you" we both laughed and everyone took a seat
I sat next to Eric as Alice and Alfie sat across from us. It was awkward as nobody talked and just ate the food. Alfie wouldn't stop glaring at Eric and I was becoming worried. I hoped he would at least give it a chance
