Odette
Waking up I was extremely excited as I can finally take Eric back out to explore the forest. It had stopped snowing and grass was beginning to grow as spring was coming. I found it better we go out during light as the nighttime is too dangerous
I wanted to show him the waterfall given its closer to the village nobody should be out there and it was a childhood spot I was proud to share
"Eric hurry up!" I shouted as we were walking through the trees
He truly was a slow walker " Odette, are you sure you okay? Your body doesn't ache" he yelled
I loved how attentive he was but my body was fine, I drank herbal tea to help with discomfort from last night It was better to get to the top before the sunrise and since it was so early in the morning we had more time to ourselves
"Odette, hold on" I paused and turned to Eric
His clock got caught in a branch. Walking over I cut it off with my finger creating a small spark of fire. He gave me a guilty smile and I grabbed his heading seeing as he needs to stay close if we want to make it before sunrise
Hearing the harsh water run down the stream I got excited and pulled Eric with me as we got closer. We reached the hill top and he looked almost traumatized
"It's ok, we're just going inside to get a view. I won't let go" I reassured him as we walked across the step ledge into the waterfalls cave
Eric gripped my hand as we walked and I felt bad knowing he ended up here from being pushed over a waterfall. Once we got inside he let out a breath and I sat down patting the seat next to me
"The sun is about to rise" I smiled as Eric sat down besides me
We cuddled together and watched as the sky turned blue. The water began to separate as we watched the moon go down and the sun rise up. Looking at Eric he looked memorized quickly he pulled the same notepad he carried around and began drawing
I noticed the book the day I found him but I never got a chance to look inside. I always watched him doodle in it and wondered what he was creating
"Another beautiful scenery" he cheesed
I rubbed my hand on his neck happy he was enjoying this moment. I had a feeling he would love this whenever we go into the forest he always looked like a child running in the grass on a summer day
"Mmmm, Alice, Alfie and I used to come here as kids. I now use it as a place to think since no one else travels in here"
"Thank you for sharing this with me" Eric leaned over to peak my lips before he contuined to scribble in the book
"What do you write in that book"
"I'm not writing... I draw things I find beautiful" he said shamefully
"Can I see a few pieces"
He thought about it for a moment before handing the notepad over. Taking it out his hands I turned through the pages there were a bunch of drawings of the woods and a big garden
It was the first thing that caught my attention as the flowers were detailed so well and there was so much emotion in the page
"What is this?" I asked pointing to the portrait
"Ummm... my mother's garden" he answer lowly
I looked at the paper again then him sympathy burned through my eyes but I kept turning the pages looking at more drawings he made. They were all great I never knew Eric was such an artistic
Turning the page more I stopped when I saw a picture of... me. I was sleeping on a chest that I assumed was Erics
"Is that me?" I smirked as he began to panic and snatch the notepad out my hands
"That was a while ago... and-"
"You think I'm beautiful"
Eric's face turned red and I enjoyed making him shy
"Of course"
"When did you draw that? You made my nose look bigger than it is" I laughed
"The day you fell asleep on my chest"
I felt so loved knowing I was featured in his notepad of beauty
"Can you draw another one. I want to hang it in the house"
"Odette I'm not that good" he tried to say
"Nonsense! Your amazing Eric so come on I'll pose this time" I stood up and sat closer to the edge so he could get better lighting of me
Eric started laughing but started doodling on his paper. I've never been somebodies muse and I was excited to see the photo. He would look at me then the paper smirking I would move my head a bit to try and see
"Don't move love" I got back in place and waited for him to finish
It was taking a minute as my back was starting to ache. "Are you done? My neck hurts"
"Ok, you can come look" he said
I crawled over to him and spread his legs making space for my body. Resting my back again his chest I opened the book and was shocked
Eric rested his chin on my shoulder "what do you think"
"I love it"
Turning my head I kissed Eric. Emotional from the portrait he drew of me I've never seen anything so eccentric.
"You are an amazing artist, baby"
"Thank you. Its a small hobby of mine my family doesn't believe its useful though"
It hurt my heart that all his life he's been told his interests were not important. Eric had a real talent and he deserved to show it
"Well I love your drawings and want a thousand more" I boosted
"You remind me of my mother" Eric quietly said wrapping his arms under my chest
My body stiffened from his words. His mom was a huge part of him so being compared felt like too much of an honor
"Your just saying that" I brushed it off
"No, I'm serious. She was the only one who encouraged my art and out of everyone in the kingdom she allowed me to be myself just as you do" His words made my heart warm
"I wish I could meet her" I mumbled
"Me too..."
Playing with my fingers I was scared to ask my question but as mates its important i know
"Eric" he looked down at me giving his attention
"Do you... want kids"
"Yes, its funny because before I met you I wasn't even thinking about it. I told myself I would never get married due to my father but now I want multiple copies of you"
I couldn't help but smile at his words. I knew he was the man for me as children were important to me
"I'm glad. How many would you want?"
"Mmmm, I think... two is good. Both girls" he laughed
"Only girls?" I laughed
"Of course... I want my girls to be as beautiful as you are" he said kissing me
I began to smile into his lips, "I want... five"
Eric's face grew in shock from my answer, it was funny to see his reaction
"Don't look at me like I'm crazy. I adore big families and love children" I said hitting his chest
"You'd make an amazing mother, love" he said making me blush again
