(A/N: you most likely know what Nickloon is if you know me or even object shows in the first place, but I am explaining for the sake of this essay) Nickloon is the ship of the two characters Nickel and Balloon from the show Inanimate Insanity. Nickloon is a bad ship because their redemption arc is missing, they are considered brothers, and they fought a lot.
One reason Nickloon is a bad ship is because their relationship arc makes ZERO sense. In season 2, Nickel despised Balloon for manipulating in season 1, all the way until they were both eliminated. Nickel did not want Balloon to do ANYTHING with him and his friends, and then at the start of season 3 did he just forget about everything that happened? There could be two answers for this. In the Inanimate Insanity comic when Balloon writes everyone a letter, including Nickel, did he just forgive Balloon then???? Or is Season 2 just another timeline, and then in one of the episodes he will forgive him???? Their relationship still makes NO sense. They should "accidentally" bring up their past and get some angst going.
Another reason Nickloon is a bad ship is that they are concidered adopted brothers, and shipping that would be weird and gross. However, Nickel and Balloon being adopted by TK is not canon. Tea Kettle acts like a maternal figure to her team, so Balloon, Nickel, Box, and Blueberry are the adopted children. Even if they are not related, you should NOT ship them because they are adopted into a family. (A/N: I'm not sure if that made any sense but here you go)
One last reason why Nickloon is a bad ship is of their toxic past. The wiki may not be a 100% accurate source, but it states that in Season 2 Episode 10, Nickel tries to ditch Balloon, because its what HE thought was good for the alliance. Balloon and Suitcase, a member of the alliance, is offended by this. In Episode 6, Nickel tells a scary story to scare off Balloon. And in Episode 5, Nickel uses Balloon as an example of using sarcastic comments, causing Balloon to get upset and run away. So there seems to be a pattern here. In the past Nickel bullied Balloon and scared him off.
