He watched as the light left Johnny's eyes. Eventually it completely died. Only one thing was on Hook's mind. Ayla. She was now safer than she was before. But he still had to get the mirror. The other crew members were nowhere to be seen. They must've either left the cave or spread out. Either way, the mirror had to be found. Johnny had completely left his thoughts by now. He started running around the crystal cave. Nothing was to be seen for minutes. Then after a certain time, he stumbled upon an opening. In that opening there was something shiny. The mirror. Hook thought. It's here. Hook expected some sort of divinity as he approached it and held it, but it seemed just like an ordinary mirror.

Hook observed it, the edges were carved out of silver with slivers of gold. It was certainly beautiful.

Hook paused before smashing it, what if someone needs it. Ayla. His thoughts went back to her once again. He started running, out of the cave and towards her, his heart racing. As he reached the exit he realised that Ayla had not shifted the entire time that he was in there. His thoughts raced again and he started to worry.

He approached her and sat on his knees.

"Ayla?" he said, in hope of a response.

Nothing.

"Ayla?" He put down the mirror and took her hand. He froze. Her hand was ice cold.

He looked at her, her face and her lips were pale, yet she somehow managed to stay beautiful.

"Nonono Ayla don't do this to me, you promised to stay with me, why are you doing this." He took a deep breath. "Wake up" his voice trembled. Dread dwelled upon him.

"Wake up. Please." it came out as a whisper. He lowered his head and shut his eyes. Please Ayla. Please. A tear streamed down his face. He didn't remember the last time he cried for real. But there he was. Ayla Pan brought him to tears.

"You're gone" he sobbed "Why couldn't you stay. Even for just a little bit longer" he paused to inhale "This wasn't supposed to happen" "I didn't even get to..." he stopped "... to say goodbye" he collapsed on the ground with her. She was cold, so cold. There was no life left in her. They both stayed like that for a while.

Through tears and pain, Hook wanted to scream, but nothing came out. It just felt like his world was spiralling down into nothingness. In the short time that he knew her, he had fallen unconditionally, and irrevocably in love with her, and as much as he wanted to get rid of those feelings, there was nothing he could do. The more he thought about her, the more he fell for her. He admired her bravery, her courage, her natural adventurous aura, the fact that she didn't hurt him when she tried to escape, she had a lot of opportunities, but she chose not to.

He gently laid her down on the ground and started circling the area, trying to get rid of the pain. At this point it transferred from emotional pain to physical, his head, lungs and stomach started hurting. He just wanted to lie down. Instead he picked up a rock and threw it as far as he could, this time he managed to scream as loud as he could, he surprised himself with the noise he just made. It was the sound of pure agony. It resonated in, what seemed like, all of Neverland. After watching his rock fly off into the distance he found a nearby boulder and slumped down on it and rested his face in his palms. The second he finds true happiness in life it's gone.

It's all gone.

The End

Just kidding! (Sorry XD) I am not a fan of sad endings, it just leaves a hollow feeling in your heart.

This is the shortest chapter in the story, but its necessary.

~Stay amazing <3~
