My peace is soon disturbed by the distinct sound of glass shattering.
At first, I think it's nothing, just a little accident, but then I hear a commotion. So I run downstairs wondering what could possibly be happening.
Once I arrive at the place the commotion was caused I'm shocked to see the sight in front of me.
Venus is here.
I'm not referring to a person whose name is Venus or the planet Venus. I'm referring to a group of normal elementals gone wrong. They call themselves Venus.
I'm not entirely sure why.
Venus is attacking the Meyers. But why?
Doesn't matter right now. What matters is putting an end to this before the Meyers get hurt.
I hop over an overturned couch and jump right in the middle of the frenzy, being careful to avoid stray fireballs and etc. My eyes quickly take in how many enemies are attacking us.
I count seven. Two are already unconscious, so it makes it easier for me to take them all out.
I aim a fireball at the chest of one enemy in front of me, and, after a few shrieks of pain, he soon turns to ashes.
I sense another enemy firing a fireball at me from behind and grow a wall of vines that surround me and reach up to the ceiling, effectively protecting me from the blast.
Once the fireball hits the vines, I use newly grown vines to wrap around the enemy's neck and squeeze until I hear a crack, signifying his death.
Two enemies try and target me at the same time using their fire abilities, so I form a wall of water around me that'll stop their attacks from reaching their target.
Once they're within 3 metres of my water barrier, I block out any and all noises and focus directly on the blood pumping through their veins.
I then target the percentile of water inside their bodies and direct it out of their bodies by any means necessary. Their bodies eventually shut down, and they die.
I hear a scream, and my attention is immediately diverted to Mayu (the source of the scream) and the rest of the people I've recently met.
Mayu made a wall of vines similar to mine, but hers isn't holding, and her enemy is relentless.
Both Connley and Alexander are injured and can't help out. Valencia has been knocked unconscious somehow. The Meyers were outside dealing with more enemies I'd presume.
I used the force of my controlled air to knock the enemy to the other side of the room, but he got back up immediately.
He's different from the others. He's stronger.
I face him head-on and use my air ability to lift him up by the neck. I apply more pressure to the force of air around his neck, preparing to snap it. I hesitate when I hear Mrs Meyers scream.
I immediately drop him and rush outside.
I believe that Connley and Alexander will protect their sisters with their lives, no matter how beaten up they may be.
Once I get outside, I see a shocking sight.
The Meyers' whole yard is filled to the brim with enemy soldiers.
I didn't know the threat was this large. How did they fend them off for so long?
That brings me back to the reason I rushed out here in the first place.
