Lena sat in the window seal of her room, looking out to the front paveway to the mansion. Beakley came into the room with her normal breakfast catering dish. A cup full of freshly poured blood from a bag. A dish of pancakes, and a bucket. Lena sighed, not ready to have her watch, but understood where they were coming from.

"Just don't, judge... please." Lena said slipping from the window and taking the stuff from Beakley. She sat the bucket on the ground, and sat the tray on her desk. She hovered over the bucket, and forced the food out of her stomach. It took a minute, before her stomach was completely empty. She whipped her mouth clear of the sickness, and scrapped the taste of her tongue. Then she sat at the desk and ate the pancakes in large bites. Silently muttering a curse as Lena finished her pancakes. She prepared herself and grabbed the cup of blood. The honey scent filled her nose, as she brought it close to her beak. She brought it up to her bill, and let the first drops pass onto her tongue. The hunger boiled in her body as she gulped down the blood. Her hand gripped onto the glass, she bit into the frame, putting small chips into the fine wear. She licked up the last drops of the blood, desperate for more, but nothing came. She groaned into the glass, and yanked it away. Her hunger was sedated, but not satisfied. She threw the cup across the room. It shattered against the wall, as Lena sulked into her chair, arms crossed.

"Next time leave it in the bag." She huffed. Beakley grabbed the tray of food.

"Throw a fit. You can clean up your mess, and sick. She said leaving the room. Lena felt bad for her outburst, but knew it was an under reaction compared to any other vampire. Being born a halfling helped her control a lot. But the urge to rip someone apart and ring the dry, made her control slip.

She got up from the desk and grabbed the bucket, taking it to the closest bathroom and throwing it down the toilet. She left it by the door and went back to her room, to pick up the bloody glass, and blood stains. She shouldn't have thrown it. She knew that, but she did it before she could stop herself, and she felt better after it. She grabbed the bucket and brought it to the closest bathroom, where she dumped it in the toilet and flushed it away. Next time, she won't eat the food.

Lena went back to her room where cleaning supplies were sitting waiting for her. She let out a deep sigh and started scrubbing the blood, as she muttered under her breath. When she finished, scrubbing and it looked as good as It could, she brought the bucket down to Ms.Beakley in the kitchen, then left. She went into the foyer on her way to the living room where Louie was watching TV, when there was a knock on the door. Duckworth opened the door allowing Violet and her fathers into the manor. Lena was confused, Webby would have told her if Violet was gonna come over the three of them met eyes with Lena and and softly smiled, before following Duckworth up the stairs. Lena followed them to Scrooges office. He answered the door.

"Lena, Lass. We're having an adult conversation, so can you take Violet outside to do whatever young kids do these days." Scrooge ushered them both away from the office.

"Come on."

"Where's Webby?"

"Her, Hewy and Dewy went to funzos fun pallice." Lena sighed leading the duck out to the courtyard, leaving Scrooge's office outside of her super hearing range.

"Do you know what that's about?"

"I do. After you told me about your aunt. I asked my fathers why someone would do that to a child. And they weren't gonna let it go."

"You know I'm not exactly a child right." Lena asked playfully showing her vangs.

"Yes you are. Your brain doesn't develop past being turned right. So you are still only fourteen."

"Yeah for the past hundred years." Lena scoffed.

"Can you hear what they're saying?"

"No it's too far away." Lena shrugged

All the way up stairs with Scrooge, and the two worried fathers. They say at his desk waiting for Beakley to enter the office. She took a stance next to Scrooge.

"Now, I understand your concern about Lena."

"Violet said that her aunt branded her." Scrooge frowned.

"Aye, she did."

"Is that woman in jail?" Ty asked. Scrooge hesitated then sighed.

"I'm gonna tell you the truth. Lena's aunt, is a vampire, one of the oldest ones on record. And Lena is also a vampire. She's been a fourteen year old for over a hundred years, and yes that entire time she's been under the lineage of her aunt, who enslaved her and abused the girl. I freed her and took her in only a month ago." Scrooge said. The two men were confused about their thoughts and feelings after being told about vampires, but the thought of a little girl being hurt pulled them back.

"But Lena is still fourteen years old?"

"Mind, body, and soul." Scrooge frowned.

"How is she doing?"

"Young Lena is still adjusting to a life where she isn't manipulated. Of course there have been a few hiccups and fits. But she is already making progress from when we first took her in." Beakley spoke up as Scrooge struggled to keep his guilt from consuming him.

"Can we talk to her?"

"If she wishes. Beakley." Scrooge silently asked her to fetch the duck. She nodded and left the office. Going out to the Courtyard calling the two kids into the office. Soon they all went into the office. Lena's eyes fell to the ground too afraid to meet anyone's. She leaned against the wall closer to Ms. Beckley.

"How are you doing Lena?" Indy asked.

"Good." She shrugged.

"Lena, we want to help you." Ty spoke with a softness in his voice.

"I know, but I keep telling them I'm fine. But they keep babying me. I'm older than all but one of you! I can take care of myself." Lena almost growled as she crossed her arms.

"I know they told you what I am. I can see it in your eyes." Lena added.

"We just want to help you Lena." Indy added.

"Ugh. I'm leaving." Lena said going toward the door, Beckley jumped Infront of her.

"I'm stronger than you." She threatened.

"Physically, but mentally I am stronger." Beckley said.

"Don't rub it in." Lena smirked. She pushed past Beckley and went up to her room, closing the door. They kept talking about her, she heard them, vaintly.
