It was late at night, when Scrooge call Lena into his office. No one else around, not even Bleakly.

"I wanna show you somethen' lass." He spoke in his thick Scottish accent, leading the vampiric Duckling through the manner, and to a secret door.

"This is the other bin. The place I store mystical trinkets too powerful for anyone to have access to." He said leading her down a dim corridor with many many doors.

"I think it's time you had what is rightfully yours Lena." Scrooge said as he stopped infront of a door. Lena's stomach dropped, what does he mean? Scrooge opened the door, and on a petastal was an old case. Lena stalked closer to it, and opened it to find a glowing red gem sitting on fine felt

"I uh... I'm sorry for taking your family away. If I just minded my own then you'd be happy." Scrooge said placing a hand on the girl's shoulder.

"We can't change the past. But this is a good step in making it right."

"I'm going to remove your father's heart, and replace it with yours. This will mean that he will permanently be dead, and never be able to come back." He warned.

"But I'll be a human?" Lena's eyes were full of hope as she looked at him.

"Since you were a halfling before... we don't know if you'll go back to that or become human... or die, But your immortality will be taken away no matter the outcome." He said in a soft tone.

"When?"

"It has to be performed by the person you trust most. The person who will guard your heart for eternity, at midnight." He explained

"Webby. I trust Webby the most." She whispered looking at the Ruby encased with a still heart.

"Then tomorrow at midnight, Webby will perform the ritual. Let's go prepare." He said leading the vampire out of the secret bin and into the mansion.

Lena stayed up all night looking at the Ruby colored gem holding the petrified heart. She always wondered what it would be like to meet her father. Holding his heart is the closest she'll ever get. She's okay with that. Her mother was no saint, but she protected Lena with her life. Her father gave his life trying to become human, so they could live a life together.

"Lena?" Webby's voice called as she walked into Lena's room. Lena smiled at the girl and sat the heart stone next to her.

"What's that?" She asked rubbing sleep from her eyes.

"My father's heart." Lena said. Webby got closer to it and poked the red gem.

"Webby?" Lena called for her attention.

"Yeah?" Lena gulped down a lump that got stuck in her throat.

"I... Your my favorite person ever."

"Aww, you my favorite person ever... After Granny." Webby started rambling, as Lena just listened to her start to spiral.

"Webby?"

"Yeah?"

"I've been alive for a really long time."

"Yes?" Webby's voice got higher as her adolescent spy skills started tingling.

"And during all of that time I've never felt the way I do now." Lena hesitated.

"I felt safe, and loved by my mom, but this is different somehow. You're..." She hesitated again.

"You're amazing. I'm happy you decided I was worth saving." Lena smiled. Webby started to cry. Lena would have too, if she could.

"Of course you're worth saving." Webby called jumping onto Lena, and wrapping her in a tight bear hug. Lena felt a warmth she'd been denyed for centuries and hugged her back.

"The boys are at the door." Lena whispered. Webby pulled from the hug as an evil grin formed on her beak. The two understood each other, and grabbed a pillow each. They tipped toed to the door where three little boys were mittering under their breath. Lena yanked the door open with her magics and the boys fell to the ground. They whipped the pillowed at them, sending them running away.

"Get back here cowards!" Webby screamed chasing after them.

"You can't hide from me!" Lena yelled after her.

The kids ran all through out the house in a pillow fight. Webby cornnering Huey against the kitchen counter, as Lena fought between Louie and Dewy. They didn't hear when the door bell rang as their screams called over it. Lena heard the door open, but kept fighting the two boys. Webby chanced Huey from the kitchen slambing into the others. Everyone in a ball of dust as they wacked each other with the cloth sacks.

"Children!" Bleakly called making all the kids stop and look at her. Beside her stood Indy, Ty, and Violet. All watching with amused looks.

"Who wants snacks?" She asked.

"God yes!" Louie called leaving the group  first to sit on the couch. Lena stayed in her spot looking between the two men, and the small birdling.

"Lena, Webby. Scrooge want a word with you." She said. The triplets gawked as the girl left the living room standing next to the small family. Webby led the way to his office, as Bleakly left to make snacks.

"Ah there ya are." Scrooge smiled warmly as everyone entered the room.

"Lena. As Much as we all love you. We think it will be best if you stay with a different family, so you can start your new life."

"What do you mean?" Lena found herself skeptical.

"Ty, and Indy wanted to adopt you, after the ceremony." She was shocked as Webby cheered.

"This is great, you'll have a family?"

"I thought you were my family."

"Of course you are our family lass. Ty, Indy, and Violet just want you to be apart of theirs too." Scrooge assured, with a soft smile.

"But you don't even know me."

"We know that you're a great person, with a  bright future." Indy smiled.

"It's your choice of course, but they also wanted to join the ceremony." Scrooge added.

"Okay. They can join. But just know. There's a high chance of me dying. No garenty i'll survive." Lena warned looking deeply into everyone's eyes, lingering on Webby's a bit longer.

"My love will keep you alive forever. Our friendship is Magic!" She claimed. Lena smiled almost bitterly.

"Of course pink. Our friendship is Magic." Lena assured.
