The breeze of the cold morning hits your cold juvenile, bringing in the feeling of being alone once again, however, the company of a boy and the eyes of your father behind you made that feeling turn into a warm and embracing love feeling of a normal life you always wished.

Holding your questions about the gift your neighbor had given you was like a burning arrow passing through your chest, you had to hold it inside, for now, Michael didn't seem to bother talking or even look at you. Wearing a fluffy blue coat you felt like hugging him like a teddy bear as hard as possible, the feelings of anguish were being replaced by an authentic friendship feeling, even once in a while you could remember his past cruel actions but your innocent started to ignore it since he's the first and only true friend you would have until adulthood most likely.

Once the bus finally arrived your father came into the scene "Take care (Y/N)."

He smiled, for both of you, passing his gloved cop hands in your hair while you turned to enter the yellow bus that awaited many other unknown kids you would meet.
Their eyes fell into you but exactly more into Michael's strange figure.
You only followed him to the end of the vehicle, he chose a seat isolated from everyone else waiting at the beginning of it so you could sit by the window. As you did that he sat close to you watching your small figure with calm eyes, he didn't seem to care about the other stares coming from the kids in front of the bus.

Following Michael was like a curse upon you, but you didn't care if the other students weren't a big fan of him, friends are friends and you're the one who chooses them.

At school, things weren't so different, for as the lucky bastard you were, your neighbor was in the same classroom as you, and of course, you followed him like a dog you knew you could be.
The teacher asked your name and as usual, presented you to the other kids while you had an odd smile settling in the corner of your mouth.
Your classmates seemed to like you, but their curious stares wouldn't last long as soon as Michael sent them an envious death stare your distracted eyes hadn't seen.

"Alright, kids! Halloween is coming soon and to commemorate this loved event of the year, I want each group sitting along to draw themselves together in trick and treat!" Your teacher said while distributing white papers to all of the students.

Your heart raced with happiness as a piece of paper was given to you and Michael, you rushed to grab a pencil but as soon as you did that your creativity went downhill making your smile fade away.

Michael noticed that.

"I... I don't have any costumes for Halloween yet. I don't even know what I want to go with." You told Michael while facing down at the paper.

He raised an eyebrow in curiosity.

"What are you going to be Michael?" You asked him looking deep into his blue eyes.

Michael took a moment to respond to you "Clown... I think?" He shyly said while looking at the blank paper as well.

"Oh! That's a cool idea!" giggling you clumsily wrote "Halloween day" on the top of the paper.

"It's the only costume I have (Y/N)..." He told you as he looked deep into your grayish eye, hearing your name come from him made you feel that same usual shivers down your spine.

You innocently grinned at him "Then both of us will only have a clown costume..."

You swear you saw his face turning red, but your attention was all given to the drawing you started to do, both of you, wearing clown costumes while holding two pumpkin buckets full of candy.
