*Knock* *Knock*

A soft voice called your name, and your tired eyes slowly opened facing the ceiling and the light coming from your window.

"(Y/N)?" Your mother's voice came from behind the closed door "Come eat breakfast!"

You yawned while getting yourself up lazily "Sure..."

Wearing your fluffy pan tufas you stretch your muscles with a crack coming from your back and a relaxed feeling flowing inside you.
Every morning you took a look behind, staring at the abandoned house across the street where once a lovely family lived until that Halloween night an enormous evil was born when the young son of the Myers murdered his older sister.
You hated to remember that every single time.
Trying your best to keep a good memory was hard but you tried, the soft smile, the quiet voice, and the beautiful features of the boy who once was your friend were everything you wanted to remember.

Michael's voice was nothing but a lost remembrance as you haven't heard it for fifteen years.

Trampling on your toes you went to the bathroom and did everything you needed in your daily morning.
Looking at the mirror and realizing that you are not a five-year-old anymore was hard to take, your gray eyes and (S/C) skin shined in the morning sun coming from the window by the side of the family bathtub.
Your tired eyebags screamed for more long hours of sleep while your (H/C) was messy like a pigeon's nest.

Brushing it was painfully satisfying.

After finishing your daily self-care routine and still feeling the laziness flowing in your body, the smell of pancakes being made leads you to the first floor.
Right there in the kitchen were your mother and father, your father was reading a journal as always while your mother placed a full plate of pancakes and baked pineapples with cinnamon on the table.

"You're late!" Amanda said taking a sip from her tea "It's almost 7:50, you don't want to be late for school."

You rolled your eyes while taking a sit "Hearing you say like that makes me feel like a seventeen-year-old chick mom."

She laughed at your smile "Oh, it doesn't even look like you are in your twenties!"

"Take that as a compliment (Y/N)." Your father served himself some coffee trying to join the joke.

"Well, that's better than the kids assuming if I wasn't too old already to be at high school..." You chuckled at yourself trying to keep the bad thoughts away.

Francis noticing your conflicted thoughts brushed your shoulder gently "You had a reason to be there..."

He had an honest smile painted across his face making you feel better "I know Father."

You finished your breakfast as soon as possible, Amanda always kept her eye on you complaining about how fast you were eating but you decided to only ignore it and be quick.

Arriving at school after the signal wasn't that bad but you always liked to have a chat with your younger friends.
Grabbing your bag and the blue cap you adored, you said bye to your parents and ran towards the front door and closed it quickly as you ran to the sidewalk.
