Yayìu glided gracefully through the water, weaving in and out the coral.

Her skin stuck out like a sore thumb within then turquoise sea, yet it embraced her difference along with the diverse creatures that graced her home. Deep within the reef she could escape the lingering stares and whispers she received daily.

She found it quite bizarre that the people of the metkayina clan had yet to accept the difference within her appearance, they'd had 18 years after all to adjust.

Yayìu approached her most treasured quarter of the reef, where she found a sprouting coral with no pigment amongst the vivid sea. Many of the na'vi believed that it was dying but it had no affect the other systems around it.

It continued to sprout growing into something beautiful and untamed, which she admired. The complexity of its essence. Asipiring to bloom into her authentic self.

It's stone like branches intertwined forming hallowing  entrances within it self. It's cave like nature is where  she often found herself laying in times of solitude.

Breaking from her trance, afar vibrations of a horn bellowed through the sea, Yayìu called out to her ilu mounting her quickly weaving her way toward the waters surface along  the shore.

"Come." A fellow warrior of the clan urged her to follow him. "The chief has requested our presence."

From a distance Yayìu gazed along the shore watching Tonowari exited his pod along with a group of na'vi trailing behind him. Emerging from the water she walked towards shore gracefully, examining of the group na'vi. Might warriors strangling behind her

"Oel ngati kameie." She greeted tonowari motioning her hand from her forehead to midair.

"Oel ngati kameie, Yayìu, Aonung." Tonowari reciprocated back, before presenting the group before them. "Here we have ones who seek the Iknimaya."

"They will need the guidance of their brothers and sisters, who once stood here before."

Tonowari stood confidently in front of the who fell in line along the shore, stern within his tone.

"You will train and prepare them for the upcoming ritual." Earning a few signs and groans in the group of teens who'd already forged their path. Yayìu scanned over the teens avoiding eye contact, she'd grown accustomed to not meeting anyone's gaze.

A  cold concluding gaze that pierced into her isolated soul. Until she met deeply hued skin, complicated with golden eyes. Eyes that shared yearning feeling to be seen.

Only she was better at masking her gaze than the na'vi before her.

Meeting hers, his pupils dilated sharply. A reaction the occurred often at the sight of her skin, but his eyes lit with wonder; fascination even.

"Hey." He spoke softly eyes flicker amongst her features before putting his head down in slight embarrassment.

Shifting her eyes she broke the gaze between them focusing on the sand that rubbed against the soles of her feet.

"Yayiu." Tonowari questioned softly placing his hand along her shoulder "Sir?" she acknowledged providing him with her undivided attention.

"You will teach one." Tonowari one finger in front of her. "One, only."

"But I—" She seeked to rebutted but he quickly dismissed with the palm of his hand earning a frustrated hiss in return.

"Lo'ak is yours to teach." He stated sternly patting against the deeply hued na'vi's skin. "Hopefully you will teach him some much needed discipline."

Earning a few laughs amongst the group, Lo'ak  lightly rolled his eyes before forming a small cuff of the lips. Knowing that he was somewhat the troublemaker of the clan.

"Training will begin at first light." Tonowari nodded before exiting the presence of the two groups.

Without a word yayìu fled the scene preparing to mount her ilu that waited for her along the shore but was brought to an halt.

"Wait!" Lo'ak exclaimed grabbing ahold her arm, receiving a threatening hiss as she hurriedly snatched away.

"S-Sorry." He murmured surrendering his arms in defense. "Yayiu, right? Friend of Tsireya?"

"What is it that you want Lo'ak?" Yayiu asked impatiently as he rose a question brow to her cold expression.

"Just to formally introduce myself." He motioned 'oel ngati kameie' towards her, sure to make contact with her eyes that seeked to avoid his. "I know of the second son of Toruk Makto."

"Tsireya speaks of you."

"O-oh." Lo'ak stumbled over his words, rubbing along the back of his neck. "Well I—"

"Will see you at first light." Yayìu mounted her ilu before diving into the distant sea.

"Come ready."
