"Get in here!" Jake semi-yelled peering out the pod to make sure none of the villagers heard him.
"How are we back in situation that we were met with when we first arrived?!"
"What did I say? Huh?" Neteyam and Lo'ak stood within the middle of the mauri, blood smeared along their faces and bruises along their bodies. "Stay out of trouble right?"
Neteyam quickly interject taking a step in front of Lo'ak, motioning his hands out in defense towards their father. "It is my fault."
"No." Jake shook his head before piercing his marigold eyes into his youngest son. "I don't think so."
"You got to stop taking the heat for the knucklehead!"
"They were talking about Yayìu!" Lo'ak retorted moving his brother to the side of him, his eyes hopeful that his father would understand the situation. "Abusing their right to touch her, calling her names, talking about her skin!"
"Am I supposed to sit and watch it happen?"
"Lo'ak." Jake pinched his nose, releasing a deeply frustrated sigh. Placing his hands on his hips beginning his own rebuttal. "I'm sure Yayìu is more than capable of defending herself."
"She's one of the clans mightiest warriors son!"
"You don't know Yayìu the way I do!" Lo'ak pointed into his chest, standing his ground to his father's assuming nature. "You assume just because she's a warrior she must always stay strong!"
"She's not always strong, not when it comes to that!"
"A warrior wouldn't let such antics move them!" Jake footed towards his son, exasperated of their dispute. "Even she didn't engage in such childish acts, LO'AK!"
"She is more than just a warrior!!" Lo'aks breathing grew heavy and his golden eyes grew dark, anger raging throughout his body. "We shouldn't always have to be strong!"
"NA'VI SHOULDN'T BE MOCKED OF THEIR DIFFERENCES!" Lo'ak yelled as sternly as he could. Releasing every frustration within their mauri. "NA'VI SHOULDN'T HAVE TO BE OUTCAST AND DEEMED TO BE ALONE!"
"WE SHOULDN'T HAVE TO!"
Lo'ak couldn't stop, he wouldn't. It was no longer just about Yayìu, it was about him and kiri too. He knew the feeling all to well— To love a place so much yet feel disconnected from what was supposed to your home. Yayìu didn't deserve to feel that way and neither did he, while others just stood there watching or authoritative figures acting as saviors— temporarily deescalating, while the mocked still received no respect or understanding.
"Lo'ak..." Jake still oblivious to his younger son's troubles, dismissing his words. "I don't care how you do it, just make peace."
"Just go."
