It'd been a long day within the clan, and it all started many moons ago, when your yawne 'beloved' entertained his former interest antics. Which made you internally fume each second you watched. Not that anyone knew except for a a few, neither of you ever slipped up to spill such sensitive information within the clan.

Yayìu placed on a faux smile as walked through the village, as she continued to cast nets in preparation for todays feast. Light airy giggles filled her ears as she watched tsireya sway in lo'ak's presence. Her hand trailing down his arm and into his palm befor interlocking the fingers with hers. The two shared final words as she slowly retreated her hand from his, making her way into her pod with a light smile.

A feeling of relief washed over her but there was something still lingering in her heart, envy. It'd been a feeling she'd felt before but under different circumstances. From afar she'd felt lo'ak's doe eyes piercing into the side of her face, as she continued to cast nets into the sea too embarrassed to show her flustered face.

Often there were times where Lo'ak wanted to spend much needed time with Yayìu but she wouldn't let him, wishing not rub the new connect in Tsireya's face. He didn't see the problem though, he went to her himself before the two participated in any scandalous acts.

Even if he didn't understand, he respected his loves wishes and would speak with Yayìu in a more private setting. Though he couldn't help peering at her every once in a while during their duties, watching as she gracefully gathered and collected nets as sun caressed her skin. He loved everything about her, happy to learn more of what she loved and hope find in her future. She'd listen to his stupid stories, explore with him, and Lo'ak honestly was smitten.

Usually the two shared knowing glances at each other throughout the day but today, Yayìu wouldn't budge. he didn't take it personal though, he'd thought that maybe she had a handful of duties today and the two had plans to visit the spirit tree later during the eclipse.

"My baby bro." Neteyam let out a breathy chuckle patting his hand along Lo'aks shoulder. "If you keep staring I'm afraid you'll burn a hole through Yayìu."

"Ah!" Lo'ak hissed, playfully smacking his brother's hand away. "I wasn't staring."

"Don't worry bro." neteyam teased. "It is normal to be attached to your mates hip."

Lo'ak quickly turned to his brother, his face mixed with fluster and confusion, which didn't go unnoticed by neteyam of course.

"You know." Neteyam went further into the depth, answering his unvoiced concerns. "After the bond."

Lo'ak scratched the back of his neck, his cheeks turning a deep purple from sensitivity of the conversation. He'd overheard many talks with the elders within the omatikaya clan, expressing the feelings of bonding with their mate. The connection that seems to never end, even after the bond is broken. To be inside one's mind and body, feeling every emotion and desire from the past to the present and future. To be one with someone.
