5 - Scars of love

The struggle of convincing Gautham to let her get out was real. "There is no way we are gonna do that," He kept turning her down. It was just his concern not letting her get into another trouble.

He is very well aware of what happens if he lets her go. Together with Anu, Karthik was also begging Gautham.

Two types of people everyone has in their life; One, who makes sure you won't get into trouble and the other who doesn't give a fu*k of what happens. Straight into, 'Your wish is my command' types.

Karthik of course is aware of the happenings for getting her out of the hospital but he is also sure that he will protect her. No matter what!

Because of the chaos they were making, Gautham had no other option than accepting it.

"Okay...! We will take her home tomorrow morning. Happy?"

"Never before, ever after!" Anu was being dramatic. If convincing people is an art, then she is the top artist ever in the history of Earth's evolution.

Reading her evil thoughts of taking revenge on everyone who's part of this, he said, "Don't even dare to think about it. We will be leaving this hospital only if you promise that you won't do anything that would put your life as well as your loved ones at stake. Understood?'' He gave her a deadly warning.

Blinking her eyes a couple of times and pouting her lips, she looked at him with a puppy look on.

"Nope. That's not gonna work," he stressed every word and detail. Now having no other way, she just accepted her defeat and made a promise. Though she is very well-versed in breaking the promises, she wanted to honor this one. After all, it was all for her betterment.

She was back to her position being all disheartened and satisfied at the same time. She was happy that she's finally leaving. She was sad that in spite of getting out of the cage, she can't do anything.

It was like taking the dog for a walk but holding it close with a leash. Limited distance, restricted boundaries yet boundless love.

No complaints, it couldn't be more beautiful than this.

After a while they were all busy doing their own things. Gautham got back to his work. It was just Anu who withdrew from the case. Gautham is still on the case and he has to do one hundred percent justification.

Karthik was running his eyes over a tablet while his hands were scrolling the pages down and on the other side we had Rajesh. He slept on the couch. The only reason for him to stay over was his brother. There is no way he would leave his brother who has necrophobia as well as hemophobia in hospital.

In the room full of diversified people with diversified mentalities doing diversified work, she felt bored. Cursing the life she is living, she leaned back to the headboard. After a long moment of silence, "Gautham sir..." Karthik said, looking at his tab which was more like a warning.

It was Gautham who was called but Anu was the first one to react. He communicated something to Gautham through his eyes and Gautham understood the rest. He went and hid in the washroom which confused Anu even more.

Resisting the urge to slap them both, "I know you are a busy person but I would appreciate it if you let me know what's happening," Anu said.

Since the day she got into an accident, Gautham and Karthik worked as a team. They got access to the hospital's entrance CCTV to keep a record of visitors. Besides, Gautham had to seek someone's help so that he could keep their relationship a secret. Everytime someone pays a visit to her, Gautham hides in the restroom.

Karthik walked towards her, "There's a V.V.I.P who's dying to meet you," he said, brushing her hair with his bare hands. "I am sure by now you understood who it is," he adjusted her hair gently.
