Your child is absent without prior information. Please send your ward with a leave letter. Thank you.
Taking a look at this kind of message that too at eleven a.m., when the message was sent at nine o'clock doesn't give a mini heart attack but a major one.
As her son is staying with Priya's parents, she has no idea what he is doing. She immediately called Priya just to be sure about it.
"Yes, ma'am," she answered the call.
"Priya, did Vikram go to school today?" Since that incident, Vikram has been under surveillance 24/7. Priya's father himself drops and picks him everyday and the same happened today too.
"He did go to school. In fact, my dad was the one who dropped him".
"I got a text from the school stating that he is absent," Anu informed.
"Ma'am, just give me five minutes. I will check on it," Priya said.
She called her father then the constable who is ensuring Vikram's safety at his school and the school administration department. It didn't take five minutes for her to realize that Vikram is indeed missing.
She called Anu. Jogging to her car, "Ma'am, something's wrong. I personally will go and check the school once – " Anu interrupted, saying, "There is no point in going to the school. He is missing and he is definitely not in the school - Moreover, I kind of know where he is. So, leave it to me," she hung the call.
It's Aditya. It's definitely him. It couldn't be more obvious that it is him, she thought while driving back to the law firm. She could have driven to the law firm and asked him directly but this isn't a matter to delay. Being impatient, she called Aditya. "Where are you?"
"There is no need for us to meet. Your son will be in your home safe and sound by noon," Aditya spoke irrelevant. Her nostrils flared and eyes grew colder.
Aditya knew something was going to happen today but did not expect it to be her son. He knows where her son is but letting Anu know would just complicate it all as she will end up knowing that Roshini is alive.
True. Aditya did confess his mistake through the locket but not even in a single page mentioned that she is alive. He played safe all along.
Clenching her jaw, "Aditya, where the fu*k are you?" she slammed hard on the honk. Noticing that he cut the line a long time ago, she restarted the car and dashed through the roads.
At this time, the only thing Anu could do was… smart work. She called Priya to get a track of Aditya which she got within a minute. Aditya was coming in the opposite direction of hers. With Priya's guidance, she made it to get a hold of him.
His car was exactly eight meters away and Anu shifted to the opposite side of the road though it's a one way. Lot of cars were passing in front of her but still she didn't care.
Aditya saw her too. The closer his car was getting, the faster she went. Concluding that there is no other option, he pulled over.
Opening the door hardly and slamming the door even more hard, she aggressively walked towards him. "Tell me where he is before I slap you".
He wasn't allowed to tell the truth because Lavanya asked him not to and he couldn't keep it to himself because Anu would kick the sh*t out of him.
Breathing in and out assuming this would be his last seconds, he closed his eyes accepting the things the way they are. His attitude and silence were testing the patience of every existing cell in her body. Probably the dead cells were irritated too.
"See, I told you that I will bring him home before the sun sets. I need time – "
He was saved by a call. Though it's not going to last for long, he at least had the time to come up with an excuse.
