Aditya loved the moment. That moment held the positivity to introspect why he didn't love her from the beginning, held the pain to make him cry and held the power to let her know the truth right in the morning.
You don’t deceive people in the name of love! The only policy of his life and then there he is, betraying and lying to her every time he gets a chance to confess the truth.
"If I owe an apology or explanation to anyone, then it is only you, Anu," he thought while hugging her a bit tighter.
Though he knew she lost consciousness, he held her for a couple of minutes as the hug radiated the kind of energy Aditya was looking for. Accepting that he can't do it for the entire night, he lifts her, scoops her into his arms and makes his way to the bedroom.
He had one arm wrapped under her legs and the other under her back.
The kind mansion he owns requires a lot of walking from the hallway to his bedroom. Somewhere in the halfway, she partially opened her eyes and loves the proximity.
Having a wide smile, "Are you taking me to your bedroom?" she asked.
Well, that is what the truth is so he couldn't help it but agree on that.
"Whoa! Let's go," she says, wrapping her hands behind his neck. Drunk Anu was too drunk to understand that it is not what she was thinking and Aditya is very well aware that she will not understand even if he makes an effort to explain to her.
He was just taking her to his room so that she can have a peaceful sleep. Not like he doesn't have any other rooms. He badly wanted to have reminders of her. So, he let her sleep on the bed hoping that the sheets will soak in her fragrance and smell like her the next morning.
Aditya never loved how his mansion was built as he had to walk all the way from here to there and there to here. But, today that isn't how he felt. He loved it! He loved the way she held him, loved the way she weighs and definitely loved the way she is in love with him.
Pulling him a bit closer and she moving a bit forward, she kissed him on his cotton like cheeks with her petal like lips. Aditya's life stopped for one second. He had multiple emotions in him.
His mind hates it as it wants to remind him that he is already married but his cheek lived its moment.
Looking at the drunk attorney, "Is this how it feels to have you!" he loved how his body reacted to that one-second kiss. Sucking in air sharply, he continued to walk to the bedroom which was ten steps away and Anu hid her face in his chest.
Having her in his arms, it was difficult for him to open the door. He tried it a few times knowing it is not going to work. "Anu?" he called and fortunately she did respond to that. "Do you mind opening the door?"
"Isn't that what guys are supposed to do? Huff, so anti-romantic!" she reached out to the handle and opened it. Anu was still in a misconception that she going to spend the night together,
"Reality is way too far from what they show in cinemas," he said while putting her on the bed.
"Are you not gonna sleep with me?" she asked, which barely sounded like english. Yet, he understood it. "I wish I could but you are gonna kill me with those same hands when you find me next to you tomorrow. So, that is a no for me. I adore my dear life!" After a short pause, contemplating whether to tell her or not yet deciding to tell her, "Moreover, I have before bedtime chores which are must. You sleep," he said, stroking her forehead with her thumb and index.
Covering her with his dark blue velvet duvet that he doesn't share with anyone and turning on the air conditioner, he stared at her for a while. A WHILE — till his soul is satisfied which is not going to happen in one night. After all, he couldn't have her twelve whole years. The fact that he has been kneeling down for the entire time made him realize it was her. All the time!
