A Sourthern's Kitten

Chapter 4

-Antoinette's Pov-

Bella and I were at her truck, an open book in her hand. Sebastian sat by Bella, his head on her shoulder. Angel was in my arms. I was trying to fix my tubes. Bella's eyes are on the arriving kids and the parking lot as they pulled in. Bella was waiting for Edward.

I wanted to ask Jasper why he acted that way, but I knew he had a reason, so I didn't look for him like Bella did. Jessica, Angela, Mike, and Eric kicked around a soccer ball nearby. "Bella! Kitty!" Tyler called out to us. Bella looked at them as she lifted her book. She smiled sympathetically at them.

"We'll play lightly for you Kitty?" I smiled but said no as the Cullens arrived. Jasper was there as he looked at me. No, Edward. I walked into Creative Writing and looked at my seat. No Jasper. I looked outside and saw him at the edge of the forest. He was leaving.

At lunch, Bella and I sat with Jessica and Angela who watched a YouTube video on their phone. Angel and Sebastian were in their laps. Bella gave it a cursory look but is focused on the Cullen table, only four of them. Edward's and Jasper's seats were empty.

Another day, as I was working on the car in Mechanics class, Rosalie came up to me. "Hello," Rosalie smiled at me. "Hi?" I looked at her as Sebastian looked at her. "I just want to say that you are pretty good at this," Rosalie informed me as she lightly petted Sebastian's head.

"Thanks," I thanked her.  "But you don't have to give me pity," I told her as she gave me a look. "What did you mean by pity?" She asked as I looked up at her. "Most people are only interested in me because of my condition" "Really?" Rosalie asked.

"But I want to get to know you. You seem fun," I look at her shocked as I smiled. As we continued to talk to each other, I developed a friendship with Rosalie Hale.
