"I don't get it. You never get reprimanded for just lazing around all the time," Shohre frowned, glaring down at the uninterested F/N, "But when anybody else does it, the General Mahamatra is swift to scold them for refusing to do their job."
F/N rolled their eyes, looking up at Shohre from their book, "I'm not quite sure I understand what you mean, Ms Shohre. I'm not lazing around."
"Oh? Then what are you doing?" F/N's fellow Matra continued to frown, unconvinced.
"I am waiting for a job that I deem worthy of my attention, Ms Shohre. What about you, hm?" F/N smirked slightly, "All I ever see you doing is hiding in here to avoid the General Mahamatra's... ah... jokes." They said, making air quotes when they mentioned Cyno's jokes.
It's common knowledge to everyone in the Matra that the General Mahamatra is quite the intimidating man. To appear more "human", as F/N chose to put it, Cyno often tried to make jokes to lighten the mood, and make people less unsettled in his presence. These jokes were never really funny, which has led to a few awkward situations previously.
"I- You-..." Shohre sighed in defeat, "Fine. I'll let you be. But, a word of warning, Cyno will be hearing about this."
"Is that so? That isn't the first time I've heard someone say that to me, you know," They yawned, closing their book, "I should be going now. I have important matters to attend to." F/N played the book onto a nearby table, before getting up and exiting the House of Daena, making their way to the Matra's area of the Akademiya.

"Look who's finally decided to do their job..."
"Yeah, right. They probably got scolded by someone else and ran off to pretend to do their job again."
"Hah, you're right. I've never seen them do anything remotely related to work."
"Am I interrupting something?" F/N raised their eyebrow, glaring at the two Matra with a piercing gaze.
"Ah- No, Mx F/N."
"I'll pretend I didn't just hear what the two of you said," They sighed, turning away, "But next time, you might not be so lucky."
