15: Exams!? Already?!

When Mr Aizawa announced exams were coming you panicked. So did the other kids like Kaminari and Ashido who did bad on the midterms. Not to mention if you failed you wouldn't get to go to the training camp with the rest of the class during the summer. Yaoyorozu offered to help some of the class study due to her high grades, but for some reason Kaminari sprinted over to your desk. "Amajiki, can you pleeeease help me study! You did place first on the midterms!" He said with a pouty face. You couldn't say yes but didn't want to say no either so. You just slammed your head down on your desk, it made a loud sound so over half the class turned and looked at you. You just continued to stare at the desk. "Y-You should st-study with Y-Yaomomo. She's al-already helping e-everyone else. N-Not to me-mention I suck at st-studying." Bakugo came over to where you were as Kaminari asks "How did you get first on the test then?"

"I'm a quick learner and am really good at remembering stuff when I'm under pressure." Kaminari sighs and Ashido comes over. "YOUR SO LUCKYYY!!" They both sighed and went over to talk to Yaoyorozu. Her smile continues to widen as each person who got below the top 6 makes their way over. When Kirishima started his way over Bakugo yanked him by the back of his shirt collar. "Don't you dare, you red shark thingy! Your studying with me." He shouts as Kirishima dragging him to the door. Kirishima calls back to you. "Amajiki! Helpppppp!"

"Don't worry Dumb Hair she's coming to." Then Bakugo grabs your hair and drags you out the door to."

While heading to lunch you were able to escape Bakugo while he wasn't paying attention. You quickly grab your food and sit down next to Todoroki at his table with Uraraka, Iida, Asui, and Midoriya. The boys were talking about what might be on the exam when Monomania purposely elbowed Midoriya in the head. You stand up with your fists clenched. "Just like at the sports festival Class-1A isn't happy unless they're the center of attention." He the starts to talk about what happened with Stain and You jumped in cutting him off. "Shut up! You think we wanted to be hospitalized! We almost died! You're just annoyed Me and Katsuki's team Kicked your ass!" Monoma didn't know how to respond so he just stood there silently looking like a statue. You had so much more to say but when you started to open your mouth Todoroki wrapped his hand around your clenched fist, slowly pulling you back down into your seat. Monoma started ranting again when an Orange haired girl from his class and karate chopped him in the neck causing him to pass out. "Sorry about him, I'm pretty sure there's a hole where his heart should be" She says with an apologizing smile. Before anyone could respond she throws him over her shoulder and walks away.

When you got back to class you went over to talk to Bakugo. Before you left the lunch room you saw Tamaki sitting with Nejire and Mirio.  You asked about the exam and he told you what he knew. "Tamaki said his practical was just going up against the robots from the entrance exams" You say unsurely "Wait, really!?" Kaminari says sneaking up behind you and scarcd you with the sudden burst of sound. All of a sudden Bakugo started walking to where Todoroki and Midoriya were having a conversation. The room went silent and he shouted. "This is not gonna be another half ass win for me like the sports festival!" Then pointing a finger directly in the center of Todoroki's forehead "And you-

"K-Katsuki don't do th-this" You try to cut him offf but he just talks over you "I don't care Y/n, I'm going to kill that Icy Hot Bastard if he stands in my way to victory." He drops his hand. Stared at the boys for about 5 more seconds and walks out of the room. As he turns down the hallway you caught his eyes looking back at you. "I haven't seen him that worked up in a while" Kirishima says quietly, almost in a whisper. "L-Let me go after him" You say ass you start jogging to the door. Just as your fingers touch the door handle someone grabs your hand, expecting it to be Todoroki you turn around quickly "Shoto let me-" but it wasn't him. It was Kaminari holding your wrist so tight it hurt. "Amajiki give him a little bit to cool off." Angrily you shift to Uraraka grabbing Kamanari's hand and sent him floating upwards as he smacks his head on the ceiling "owwwww" he groans. You yank the door open and run down the hallway releasing Kaminari and shifting back to yourself.

"KATSUKI!!" you call wandering the school hallways. "Katsu-" but you were caught mid breath by your arm being yanked towards the exit by the spikey blonde. "Stupid Nerd! Why the fuck are you following me!" He yells at you once you two were off school grounds. "D-Don't you call me st-stupid for coming after you. How long have w-we been fr-friends? This is not a time where you can just walk away pissed off at everyone!" He started walking quicker dead silent. You run in front of him and kick him in the legs causing him to fall on his ass. You kneel down next to him on the side walk. "Katsuki, please." He just stares at the ground. You then push his limp body towards one of the building walls. You sit down next to him and lean your head on his shoulder. "If you won't speak can you at least listen?" The silence continues. "I have always wondered why you wanted to be friends with me off all people. And I think I figured it out." This statement got his attention and he turned his head to face you. "You felt bad for how you treated Midoriya, but your stupid ego wouldn't let you apologize. So when you saw me another person in your grade with no quirk. Something in your brain thought it would be a way to redeem yourself. Protecting me the way you should have protected him." His face started to look less mad and more deadpan. "But now we've both developed quirks and are catching up to a skill level you've been training for your whole life. You want to beat us the right way. Prove that everything you've worked for up to this point, wanting to be #1 is still a possibility." You take a deep breath and stand up. "I may not know why you've brought Shoto into this and not just treat him like a normal adversary. But if its jealously I will kick your ass. You are my best friend no matter what stupid shit you might get into. Shoto can't replace you, not in that sense." He looks up at you. "Now go home idiot. I'll see you tomorrow" You walk back to the school to grab your backpack while looking at the ground as heat rushed into your cheeks once you realized what you had said about Todoroki and what it actually might mean.
