Sophie's POV
Percy started moving his hands so quickly that I couldn't follow and suddenly there were a couple of water animals moving swiftly through the air. When Estelle reached out to touch the shark all the other animals suddenly collapsed and the shark became twice as big and slowly started approaching her.
Even with the fact that a shark, mind you, was harmless, but still, something that closely resembled it, she clapped her hands and had a massive grin. Then in a quick movement, the shark went over her head like a hat.
The mouth of the shark let her breathe while the rest of the shark squirmed. Annabeth handed her what looked like a spatula and Estelle started whacking the water shark until it was nothing but a puddle of water droplets.
"She always loves that part," Annabeth said as Percy's mom finished the bean dip.
We all sat down with Estelle at the head of the table eating some food.
"Mom, this is Fitz and Sophie, Fitz, Sophie, this is my mom, Sally Jackson," Percy said, grabbing a couple of chocolate chip cookies.
"Nice to meet you," Sally said, "So what exactly are you?"
"Were elves," I explained, "We have "abilities" that can make us read minds speak any language, and turn invisible." She nodded, and to her credit, she didn't look that surprised.
"Thanks for the pancakes and bean dip, hope Estelle doesn't get in too much trouble," Annabeth said, then she turned to us, "We need to be going soon, I have a surprise for you but we need to be there in 20 minutes."
"Okay," Fitz and I said in unison. We went to go see how Ms. O'leary was holding up after shadow traveling while Percy talked to his mom about how he was going to stay at Foxfire.
"She said it was fine," Percy said as he came out of the house, "I've been on so many adventures she doesn't worry too much."
We climbed onto Ms. O'leary and Percy gave her directions and we were transported to another place.
When I could finally see something besides darkness I saw a huge gate with a high area full of slides that went down into a pool.
"It's a water park!" I said realizing.
"Yep!" Annabeth said, "I figured you haven't been to one in a while and Fitz hasn't been to one and Percy loves these kinds of things." She tipped her head to where Percy was jumping up and down like a little kid.
"What are you waiting for? Let's go!" Percy said, bolting to the checkout lines. She sighed and we followed after him. After waiting for a couple of minutes Annabeth gave the guy the tickets and we were in.
We only had a bit of a problem with the scanner but Fitz got it on the second try.
"What was that thing," he asked.
"It was to count how many people come into the park." Annabeth said, "We should probably sit right here..."As soon as she said where we should sit, Percy dumped his stuff down and sprinted to the nearest slide.
Fitz was right behind him excitedly following him while Pery showed him around.
"This is not going to go well is it?" I asked.
"Nope!" Annabeth said, "But somehow things always seem to go our way."
With that, she led me through the park while also keeping an eye on Percy and Fitz.
Fitz's POV
Percy led me excitedly to the top of the water park which was about 20-30 stories high.
"Just trust me on this it's the best slide." We waited in line for a little bit and Percy quickly slid down the water slide, making jumps and sliding up the sides that would have looked suspicious to anyone paying close attention.
When Percy reached the bottom the attendant motioned for me to go and as soon as I was on the water I was rushed down the slide at breakneck speed. I was going down so quickly that I could barely make out anything else except the slide next to me.
Then the next thing I knew I hit the bottom of the pool and Percy was smiling at me.
"Come on you have to get out of the way." Percy ushered me to the side, "So what did you think?"
"I think that next time you shouldn't use your powers to blast me down the slide," I replied, still shaken from the ride.
"Fine," he said looking a bit pouty at the fact of that, "Well you should try this other slide!" His face brightened as he darted off toward another ride.
The rest of the day went something like this and when the sun was just a faint little dot on the horizon we left the park and went out to dinner. After when we went to our room, Percy produced a giant tub of ice cream and we had it for dessert. I took a shower in there, careful not to use all the hot water, and went to bed.
Sophie came in a little while later. She kissed me as she was hopping in.
"Good night," she said.
"Good night," I said, kissing her back. After we separated I put my head on the pillow and fell asleep.
