In the border regions of Dominion Space, several research colonies are experimenting on various kinds of weapons to ensure the enemies of the Dominion fall. However in humanity's ever growing hubris and inability to leave things alone, have delved deep into the possibilities of bioweapons and horror. It is at least rumored, that one of these colonies fell to their own experiment.
A virus or parasite that killed its host and then piloted the corpse with an unfathomable appetite for flesh. So far it is said, the outbreak was trapped underground, beneath the colony's surface in deep bunkers that were once labs. Now just an endless quarantine. All records have been classified and data expunged.
The most disturbing thing about all this is the Dominion Colonial Bereau green-lit that world for urban construction. So now the deadly quarantine bunker lays deep beneath a megatropolis city, the capital of that world. What hells could be unleashed if one human becomes too curious.
"Their all around us, trapping us in the command center. Food is low, and outlook even lower. We were only looking out for humanity's best interests. What daemons we have made in the pursuit of dominance over our lessers. I only see one way out of this, and it is not a way that I'll survive, but at least I won't become a monster. Whoever finds this recording, whatever you do, do not let them bite or scratch you. It'll only be a matter of time before the infected are turned. Goodbye Amanda... I wish I could have seen your eyes glisten one more time".
