The Sol Dominion

  The Sol Dominion was established after over fifty colonies had been established beyond the sol system. Initially, it was a way to give colonies more autonomy without the risk of feeling that they were being controlled. However, after a Military coup on Earth, the Sol Dominion created a military oligarch elective feudal monarchy to rule the Dominion. The people of earth elected officials from the higher ranks of Dominion military. The officals made up a council, who then elect an 'Emperor' to rule the Dominion until death.
   Colonies still kept a modicum of autonomy, but were required to give soldiers, weaponry, or various vehicles in the form of Dominion Tithes. Through political policing, most colonies fell in line with Dominion Doctrines. They give Tithes and receive bountiful trading opportunities, as well as security from invading xenos races.
  Dominion armed forces are primarily divided into three factions: the Legions, the navy, and the Knights.

****Dominion Legions ****

  The Legions are the main ground battle force for the Dominion. Made up of billions and trillions of everyday men and women serving the throne world and humanity as a whole. A formidable force of humans in gear similar to that of earth's  first and second world wars. Their vehicles are dieselpunk renditions of WWII vehicles, and wield titanium clad mechs and tanks.
  They make use of thick armored vtol choppers for troop transportation, and air strikes. Using heavy artillery, they pound their enemies into submission. And with unending trench warfare training, they can withstand almost any attack. The Dominion Legions know no end, and will sacrifice themselves for the glory of humanity.

****Dominion Navy****

  The Dominion Navy is made up countless battle voidships. Each fleet consisting of at least twenty to thirty vessels, and patrol at least two star systems. The average voidship can reach to 7 kilometers long. With each ship's base shape being that of a 1930's-40's German zeppelin. Each ship within the Dominion, either Navy or Civilian, is armed to the teeth with Mass accelerated Cannons, thermonuclear warheads, and laser based point defense turrets.
   Dominion voidships use a displacement field as impenetrable shields,  however they would be unable to fire when the field is active. In a similar situation, Dominion Voidships are equipped with Fold Drives, which allows nearly instantaneous travel from one point in space to another, however when activated, displacement shields cannot be activated, because the Fold Drive creates a field around the vessel in question in order to ensure it remains still during the Space Fold. After they reach their destination post-fold, captains must wait seventy-two hours before activation. Sometimes even longer.

****Throne Knights/Dogs****

  Throne Knights and Throne Dogs, are the specialized task forces that are clad in power armor. The key difference between knights and dogs, are the circumstances in which they reside. Knights are volunteers that show special talents. Dogs are convicts sentenced to serve their time in serving the Sol Dominion. You would usually see Knights serving as leaders of either a squad of elite Throne Knights or a squad of Throne Dogs.
   Throne Dogs are generally clad in power armor that are equipped with kill switches installed inside. Throne Dogs are often deployed as Frontline troops, vanguards, boarding parties, or backwater guardians. Also, Throne Dogs are often equipped with very cheaper and heavier power armor. Often times, Throne Dogs do not have helms or Masks.
