giggling to himself, he couldn't help but stare at the comment that she had replied to him with. babyboy. lord, does she want him or not? he was going delusional or something. it made him instantly flashback to the restaurant and he couldn't quite stomach that memory and her calling him babyboy. giggling, screaming, kicking his feet, doing summersaults.
he liked the idea of pet names and nicknames, it was most evident with the way he was acting. what would you do if the huang yujie called you babyboy? how do you respond to that other than 'I WANNA BE SAAVVVEEEDDD'. like how are you suppose to comprehend it in a healthy way? clearly it didn't matter since you're reading this fanfic but that's not important either.
getting a sudden call, he dropped his phone on his face before he got to see the contact name. peeking at his phone as he pulled it away from his face, he shrieked and rushed to sit up straight. picking it up, he hastily placed his phone beside his ear. "h.. hello?" he called, bitting his lip from nervousness. "hey, why are you being so formal with me all of a sudden donghyuck?" hearing her voice, he melted on his bed like an ice cube on metal.
"habit, i don't.. nevermind. why.. why did you call?" he questioned, trying to make it not obvious that he was super nervous and super trying so hard not to spew words he'd regret saying to her. "mmh, you're so cute. can't i call you whenever i want to donghyuck?" she said it almost as a matter of fact. "no! i mean, uh, you can call me, you just called me so suddenly that i got confused when i saw your contact you know?" he was already beginning to ramble.
yujie really brought the worst out of him when it came to basic conversation. "do i need a reason to call darling?" his head was spinning and he felt a sudden wave of light headedness. "that's.. that's not what i'm saying yujie. i'm just saying that uh.. you know.." he really didn't know how to defend himself at all. usually he bickered till he got his point across, but he folded like a book when speaking to yujie.
