"Have you stabilized his wrists yet, Casey?" Lync the paramedic asks, as sweat rolls down his face. "Yeah, but the medicine is taking a while to kick in." She informs him as a loud thumping noise sounds in the back ground.
"His blood pressure is dropping drastically! I need that IV right now Casey! Class four hemorrhage!" The paramedic yells as he continues to pump an oxygen bag, that's connected to Ryder's nose and mouth.
I examine my hands, and never has the sight of blood made me as sick as it does right now. Shit, I enjoy the thrill of bathing in my enemies blood, but this was different, Ryder's not—he's not my enemy.
A tear rolls down my cheek and I roughly wipe it away.
"His heart rate is starting to drop quick, sir—Mr. Stovlok I need your help! He's going into hypovolemic shock!" He yells but I'm still in this fucking daze that I just can't seem to shake.
"Mr. Stovlok we need you to focus, now do you know common CPR sir?" He asks out of breath as his co-worker starts to stick Ryder with a bunch of different needles, filled with colorful liquids.
My eyes drop away from the light haired women, before they can murder her. The rough handling of Ryder's body not sitting well with me.
"Yes, b-but I don't thin—" his sharp glare cuts me off. "He's going to die if you don't help, I'm trying my best here to save him." He grunts out as the heart monitor starts making a rapid beeping sound.
"Fuck, all of his vitals are dropping! We're loosing him, I need your help now damnit!"
He yells and it snaps me out of the daze that I've seemed to have been in ever since yanking Ryder out of that damned tub.
The shit was going into the trash, as soon as I got back.
"W-what do I need to do?" I ask frantically my hands hovering over his body, but not completely touching his fragile form.
"Chest compressions, his heart is starting to stop, and we need that to continue beating. Press down every five seconds, make sure to count under your breath." He orders and my hands begin the repeated well-known motion, but the monitor continues to grow louder and louder.
"It's not helping, why the fuck is the medicine not stabilizing him?" He asks Casey who swipes a red hand across her brow.
"I-I don't know Lync, somethings not right, he's showing signs of rejecting it." I watch as she sticks another needle into his arm. "Mr. Stovlok is Ryder on any medication at the moment? Anything, I want to know even if it's goddamn tylenol." I furrow my brows and try to think, but the beeping monitor knocks me out of concentration.
"I-I don't think so. No he wasn't—" I mumble at first, but then the antibiotics that Dr. Anderson proscribed him pops into my head.
"N-no wait my personal doctor gave him some type of antibiotic, that he's been taking for awhile now." She swears and starts a new IV bag.
"We're going to have to flush his system, in order for his system to stop rejecting the medicine!"
A long beeping sound catches all of our attentions and my heart drops. "He's gone. . .time of death six-twelve—" Lync whispers in defeat with a tired sigh, and my throat closes up.
