Four, long years Dipper had waited to come back to Gravity Falls. He was now sixteen, and had changed a lot from when the last time he was in the small town, which was when he was twelve years old. Every summer he tried to convince his parents to take him back, but they always had some excuse that Dipper didn't believe or thought was ridiculous. During the tenth grade, Dipper eventually gave up on begging his parents to take him back.
He was surprised when he came home from the last day of school in the tenth grade to be greeted by two bus tickets to Gravity Falls.
Apparently, after Stan hearing from Mabel about how bad Dipper wanted to come back, their Grunkle called their parents and was able to convince them to let the twins return. Dipper had never been more thankful for his twin sister ever before and kept going on about how much he owed her for it.
They packed their bags as soon as Dipper was informed of the trip and loaded their bus about an hour later. Throughout the entire bus ride to Gravity Falls, the two twins shared their excitement to see all their friends again. Mabel was especially excited to see her pig, Waddles, and the goat that had hung out around the shack, Gompers
The twins arrived in Gravity Falls late that evening and earned a warm welcoming from their Grunkle Stan, Soos, Wendy, Grenda, Candy, and of course, Waddles and Gompers. They all caught up for the rest of the night until they all had to head home and the Pines twins were too tired to do anything else but crawl into their beds and sleep for hours.
Dipper couldn't be more pleased to be back in the small town, but little did he know that someone else was also delighted to see that he was back.
