(EDIT- 9/14/15: Finally changed this to align with the events of "A Tale of Two Stans"!)

It took a couple of hours for Stan to not only keep everyone under control while he got the portal up and running, but also to calm them down when Stanford came through the portal.

Of course, everyone was full of questions and concerns. Dipper freaked out the most, and was rambling on and asking so many questions. He nearly threw up because of how excited and nervous he was.

Of course, the Stan twins had to explain themselves and told them about all the events that led up to Ford falling into the portal.

Stan ended up explaining that months after he continued to try to find someone to get his brother back, he ended up finding a ray gun in Ford's lab. He had been so depressed from losing Ford that he ended up just erasing his mind about the events that happened.

So, all Stan did remember at the time was that Ford disappeared and he faked his own death in a car crash. Then, he took Ford's place and made the Mystery Shack.

It all made sense now that Stan's memories were restored.

Stan, and mainly everyone else, was still a bit confused as to how the portal worked after all these years, but supposed Bill had something to do with that.

They eventually moved to the kitchen, which was much cleaner than the basement.

Eventually, after a couple of minutes of the questions dying down, Wendy brought up a very important question.

"Hey... Stan, how did you just suddenly remember all of this after all these years?"

Stan perked up at the question, while Ford and Dipper narrowed their eyes at him.

"Yes, how did you remember, Stanley?" Ford asked, crossing his arms.

Stan awkwardly rubbed the back of his head and avoided eye contact from the others.

"Well, uh...," he stammered. "F-ford, promise you won't be mad at me, okay?"

Stanford frowned and demanded, "What did you do ?"

"I made a deal... With Bill," Stanford sighed.

Before Stanley could even yell at his brother, Dipper jumped up from sitting at the table, exclaiming, "Wait, y-you talked to Bill? He's okay?!"

"Yeah, he's fine. Just as much of an annoying pest as always," Stan mumbled, making Dipper frown. "He told me about my lost memories and he said he'd give them back if he got to live in the shack again..."

Dipper's eyes widened, but Ford spoke up first this time, "Stan, what were you thinking?! Making a deal with that demon? Letting him live here? ... And again?! Why does he even need to live anywhere in the first place?!"

"N-no, Grunkle Ford, it's okay!" Dipper exclaimed, earning his attention. "He has a human form now, but he's okay!"

"'Okay' is a bit of an exaggeration," Mabel pointed out.

"I've missed something, haven't I?" Ford finally sighed, leaning against the wall.

"Uh, yeah, you've missed a lot... Especially in the last couple of days," Stan muttered and then faced the others. "Soos, Wendy, kids, I need to talk to my brother about a few things. How about the four of you wait in the gift shop while I talk to him, alright?"

"You got it, Mr. Pines... Well, uh, Stan... I meant Stan. Geez, this is going to take some getting used to," Soos chuckled as he and Wendy left the room.
