Rossi pulled up in a SUV and ran to me.

"Morgan are ok?" he asked.

"Does it look like I'm ok, Rossi?"

"No. You look like you just got shot. What happened?"

"Jason whipped Avery with a spiked whip." I asked.

"Morgan. She learned her toughness from you. You heard her say it. If you stay strong, she will stay strong. She'll be fine." he said.

"I hope you're right." I said as I stood up, "How's JJ?"

"Out of surgery. She's fine. She's just going to be like Reid was a few years ago. She can leave tomorrow."

"Good. Let's go inside." I said. We walked in and returned our eyes to the computer.

"What did we miss?" Rossi asked.

"Cruise let Avery down and left the room."Reid said.

Aver started talking through the camera, {Guys I know you're listening...... Reid, it is not you or JJ's fault I was taken. You did all you could do. H-He planned this from the beginning...Morgan. Morgan I know you're listening too. I know Hotch might of told you this already but, you couldn't have saved me if you came. I am alive because I pictured you in this situation and did what you would do. I'm alive because of you. This is NOT your fault, Derek.}

{Awwww! How sweet!} Cruise said as he entered the room and into view, {She's alive because of you Derek. Well, let's see if we can change that.} he said as he pulled out a gun and turned off the camera.

"Can you track it now, Garcia?!" I yelled.

"I got it! 7548 Yearling Lane! Tom's family's property!" *GUNSHOT* *GUNSHOT* We heard from Avery's earpiece.

"NOOOOOO!!!" I yelled.

{Is she still alive now, Derek?} Cruise said through the earpiece.

"WE WILL FIND YOU! YOU BASTARD!" I yelled.

{You will find me alive. Maybe not her. She got what she deserves. *CRASH* *STATIC*}

"SHE'S ALIVE!! HE SAID DESERVES!! IF SHE WAS DEAD HE WOULD HAVE SAID DESERVED!! LET'S GO!!"

"I agree!" Reid said.

"I do too, but I don't want to get one of you killed." Hotch said.

"We can discuss this in the car, Hotch! Right now Avery is dying!" I yelled before I grabbed my bullet proof vest and ran out the door to the car.

The bullets pierced my abdomen and out my back. I tried to stop the bleeding with my hands, but that didn't help. It just covered my hands in my red......warm.......blood. Cruise just looked at me, smiling and said:

"What is your hero, Derek Morgan, going to do now?"

"He...He's gonna kick..... your sorry ass, Cruise." I said as I choked on my own blood.

"We'll see about." Cruise said as he stepped on my stomach, "Agent."

"OW! Go....To...Hell." I said as he left the room.

I turned on my sirens and sped down the highway. I couldn't have let her die. Not now. It took only fifteen minutes to get to the property. The property had a dirt road that cut right through the strip of land. If it was anyone else about to die, other than my Family or team, I would wait for back-up. I pulled up to an old shack that looked like it had been there for generations. I stepped out of the SUV, grabbed my weapon, and ran to the shack. I kicked down the door and found Tom dead, bullet to the brain. I saw an iron door that had at least six locks on it. I unlocked all of them and slid open the door to see Cruise holding a knife at Avery's throat. She was bleeding from two spots in her abdomen. She wouldn't survive long without medical attention. I aimed my glock at Cruise's head.

"Derek." Avery said.

"HAHAHA! You really thought you could save her." He said.

"I still can." I said.

"D-Don't try. You know i-it won't work." She said as I tip-toed closer to her.

"One more word out of you or one more step from you and she dies." Cruise said as he shortened the difference between the knife and her throat.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you?" I said.

"Why? Are gonna you shoot me?" He said.

"No. I am." Hotch said as he entered the room.

"Hotch." She said.

"Assaulting two Federal Agents will grant you 60 years in prison."

"You really think I'm going to prison after this? I have come to far to stop now!'' Cruise said as moved as to slash Avery's throat. I pulled the trigger that sent a bullet toward Cruise's head. The bullet sliced through his brain causing him to drop the knife and Avery to start to fall on her side. I immediately dropped my weapon and dove to catch her head.

"Hotch! Get a medic!" I said while turning her on her back.

"We-We did it." Avery said.

"Yes we did! That's exactly why you need to stay with me! You hear me? Stay with me!" I said as I grabbed her hands.

"Y-You killed Cruise. It-Its over." she said.

"Yes, and you stayed alive and I am so proud of you Avery. I am proud of you because you are my best friend and even more. So stay with me." I said as I saw her eyes close, "No! If you can still hear me, squeeze my hand." she did but her grip started to weaken, "Where the hell is my medic, Hotch?!"

"Right here." he said as medics came in and put her on a gurney.

"I'm going with her." I said as I passed Hotch, Rossi, and Reid. I got into the ambulance and we started to drive to the hospital. Half way there, I heard her life line start to ring and an EMT say:

"We're losing her!"
