Reconnecting

Avery's POV

As I stepped out of the elevator and walked into the BAU Lobby I was greeted by a man in a black suit with a tie. He greeted me with very simple words....

"Hello, I'm Agent Aaron Hotcher."

"Hi I'm Agent Avery Provost. It's nice to finely meet you in person, Agent Hotchner."

"Please, call me Hotch." he insisted. "Also, it's time you've met the team. Follow me to the Bull Pen."

I nodded in agreement as we began to walk into a room with cubicles. There were people sitting in a little group.

"Guys. I would like you to meet the new member of this team. This is Agent Avery Provost." He said trying to pronounce my last name correctly in the most polite way possible,"Avery this is the team."

"Hi I'm Agent Jennifer Jareau, but you can call me JJ. I'm the one of the profilers."

"I'm Agent Penelope Garcia, I'm the giver of information on people's lives. Some people call me a stalker ,but here I'm a Technical Analyst."

"I'm Agent Rossi another profiler. It is nice to meet you."

"It is awesome to meet you all. Hotch, I thought you said there were six members. Where are the other two?" I asked.

"Has anyone seen Reid or Morgan?" Hotch asked the group.

"Ball park, Hotch. Morgan is teaching Reid to play baseball. " JJ said.

"Morgan? As in Derek Morgan?" I asked.

"Yeah, do you know him?"JJ asked.

"We went to high school together. We were.....really close friends." I explained.

"Jage, lets go surprise him and Reid." Garcia said.

"Great idea Garcia! Come on Avery lets go." JJ said as she hooked elbows with me and Garcia.

"Bye Hotch. Bye Rossi."

As we got into the black suburban, JJ and Garcia asked me a lot about my relationship with Morgan. So I told them that we meet in 8th grade when I was new to Hamilton High school. We meet when I was getting bullied and he stood up for me. He told me that I could sit at the cool kids table and we developed a bond that could never be broken. As I finished telling the story, we pulled up to a baseball field. JJ, Garcia, and I got out of the car and started to walk to toward the guys. A small, skinny man was throwing a baseball to Morgan, who's back was facing us.

I walked away from the other girls and stood in a comfortable position as I said....

"Yo, Alpha and Omega! Blitz the A gap!" Morgan was about to throw the ball to the skinny man ,but my words stopped him in his tracks.

"No way..........It can't be her." He whispered. "Avery?!" He said while turning around.

"You guessed it!" I said running to meet him. As we met, Morgan grabbed my waist and lifted me above his head, and spun me around in a circle. He set me down he hugged me. I didn't care if people were watching, I hugged back.

"Kid! Get over here and meet my best friend!" Morgan yelled as he released me form his arms. The skinny man ran to meet us and the girls walked over to Morgan and me.

"Hi.......I'm Dr......Spencer Reid." he panted.

"Hi I'm Agent Avery Provost. Nice to meet you." I said

"Excuse my.........asthma." Reid panted

"Here. Let me help you." I said as I placed Reid's hands on his head. "In through the nose. Out through the mouth." I said and Reid immediately stared breathing normally.

"Where did you learn that Avery?" Garcia asked.

"I have asthma and I played football in high school. Its just one of the tricks I learned to help me breath." I explained.

"You, Avery Provost, played football in high school?" JJ asked.

"Yep! First girl football player and a hell of a linebacker. " Morgan said, draping his arm over my shoulder.

"Wow!" Garcia said in very surprised voice. There was a quick ring, JJ looked at her phone to see a text message.

"Ugh...Sorry to interrupt the reunion, but we have a case." JJ said with dread in her voice.

"Let's go." I said.

"Wait, is she coming with us?" Reid asked. "Yeah. She's the new member of the team Hotch talked about." Garcia explained.

"Hold up. You're a profiler. You have a badge and gun now? Ooo. Remind me not to get on your bad side." Morgan chuckled.

We got into our vehicles and headed for HQ. I was soooo excited. I was about to start on my first case as a profiler.
