"You almost won that one!" Peter grinned and I fell back into my chair with a groan, staring at the chess board in defeat. 0-3. Shit.

"let's do something different"

"something you can win at?" he joked, sat opposite me in a stool in his Thor pajama bottoms and white top. He looked cute as anything and his muscles looked great, not that I said anything. I don't think he'd be too happy.

"shut up" I adjusted my cardigan as I stood up, "do you want a drink or anything? Snacks?"

"are you having anything?"

"Peter babe, this is your space as much as it is mine. What is it they say, Me casa is su casa?"

"me casa su casa" he corrected as he joined me in the kitchen space, leaning against the counter as I got us some Pepsi's. "since when do you call me 'babe', not that I'm complaining" he assured at my look.

"Love is cute, but babe feels more like you're my boyfriend rather than my friend. I can drop it if you don't like it?"

"no, I like it" he took me in his arms, both of us smiling. "boyfriend, huh? I thought we weren't labelling anything yet?"

"well, I like calling you my boyfriend" I blushed, squirming under his gaze.

"I guess I'll have to return the favor, huh?" he reached up and brushed the skin of my cheek with his thumb and I could feel my heart racing in my chest. "you're so beautiful Al"

"stop" my cheeks burned and I pressed my face into his shoulder as his chest vibrated with laughter.

"come on Pretty girl, I can't not compliment my girlfriend" I liked when he called me that, both of those things.

"such a charmer Pete"

"only for you" he murmured, resting his cheek on top of my head as we swayed. "your hair is so soft"

"I'd hope so for how long she spends in the shower cleaning it" my nan's voice rang out as she came through the front door, shopping bags in hand and Peter immediately moved to take them from her. "thank you babs"

"it's my pleasure Ma'am"

"brown-noser" I sang, and he rolled his eyes as Nan laughed.

"leave the poor boy alone." She defended, and Peter wondered back over to me.

"yeah, leave me alone Al" he echoed, and I bit back my grin, studying him with amused eyes.

"I don't know if I like this tag-teaming"

"get used to it doll face. I'm not going anywhere soon"

Dollface? I could get used to that.

My lips widened and he grinned back at me.

"you're so cute" I brushed his hair back, wanting nothing more to kiss him in that moment. He looked at me like he could read my mind, eyes flickering to my lips, and I tilted my head.

"Hey Nan, we were going to order a pizza for tea if you wanted something too?" I called, tearing my gaze away from him with a deep breath.

"that's alright dear, I'm going over Kelly's tonight for Downtown Abbey" right, I had completely forgotten about that "you two have the flat to yourselves for a few hours, don't do anything I wouldn't approve of"

"I'll keep her in line Mrs Greene" Peter promised, and I faked offense.

"Keep me in line? Come on"
