"Alex! Your friends are here" My nan called, and I finished one of the wings on my eyes before setting down my eyeliner and hurrying out of my room.

"hey guys" I greeted, bringing MJ into a hug. "I love your shoes" I'm pretty sure they were Nike, white with jewel colours which looked wicked.

"thanks Al, I like your one side of eyeliner" we both chuckled, and I ushered them inside.

"Take a seat guys, I'll grab the food. I made chili if everyone's okay with that?"

"if it tastes as good as it smells I'll be more than happy" Ned sniffed the air and I beamed, bouncing on my heels as my Nan laughed.

"I'll grab everything" I darted into the kitchen, pulling the bowls from the shelf, almost dropping them from the weight but quick hands supported mine, helping me set them on the side.

"careful darling"

"Lifesaver" I placed a grateful kiss on his cheek before beginning to scoop the food into bowls, wincing at hot ceramic against my fingers "would you mind just grabbing a tea towel to take these out for me please lovely?"

"I can take them" he reached out and I moved it closer to myself.

"it'll still hurt" Peter's lips twitched up and he rose an eyebrow, but he did grab the tea towel hanging from the fridge and used it to take the bowls.

I could hear laughter from the living room, probably Nan saying something embarrassing about me.

"here we go" I announced, setting down a bowl in front of Peter and Nan, "dig in" I encouraged before running back to grab my own.

I tried not to watch them for their reactions, I was fairly confident that it tasted okay.

"it tastes like...you tried?" MJ joked and I groaned into my hands "I'm joking, it's actually really good"

"really?" I looked at her hopefully and she laughed, nodding.

"it could use some salt" Nan added gently, and I mentally noted that for next time.

I thought I added salt?

"Right, let's get to it" I swung open the doors to my wardrobe and began pulling out different Jackets, tops, jeans, whatever I had that could pass as stranger things.

"woah this hat is crazy!" Ned looked at himself in the mirror, a brown 'don't trip' hat on his head. I had found it at a vintage shop downtown and thought it was sick, but I'd never worn it.

"it suits you"

"that looks great!"

Ned grinned under our praise, sporting it proudly as we continued to go through everything.

"have you got any tops that will match my shoes?"

"I think so" I mused, moving across the room to my set of drawers and rummaging through. I offered up a turquoise top and MJ went to put it on in the bathroom.

"What says 'Steve Harrington' to you?" Peter asked as he poured over some of the stuff on the bed. I looked over what he already had on, he was wearing jeans and a navy-coloured top, so I think a good jacket would do the job.

"I have something, but you have to promise to take care of it" he turned to me as I pulled out one of my favourite pieces of clothing. A navy jacket with a crème collar, red, white and blue stripes running across the chest. I bought it with my first paycheck back in England and they were discontinued now, so in my eyes, it was one of a kind.
