Summary: A continuation of the aftermath of the last part

As you walked out of the hospital with your newborn baby in your arms, you couldn't help but feel a sense of grief and loss. You had always dreamed of raising your child with Stephen, the love of your life, but it seemed like it wasn't meant to be.
Despite the heartache and uncertainty of the past few weeks, you were determined to be the best parent you could be. You devoted yourself to caring for your little one, and as the months went by, you found joy and purpose in the new role
But as much as you loved your child, you couldn't shake the feeling that something was missing. You missed Stephen terribly, and you couldn't help but wonder what could've been.
One day, as you were rocking your baby to sleep, there was a knock at the door. You walked over, holding your baby in your arms, and opened the door only to find Stephen standing there, looking sheepish and apologetic.
"I know I missed up," he said, his eyes filled with remorse. "But I want to try and make it right. Can I come in?"
After careful deliberation, you decided to let him in. "Just let me put (child's name) in their crib."
As you came back into the living room, you found him sitting on your couch, staring at the New York skyline.
"You wanted to try and fix this, you have five minutes."
As you listened to Stephen pour his heart out, you realised that he had been struggling with his own inner demons after your split. He had been so focused on his duties as the Sorcerer Supreme that he had lost sight of what was most important to him -- you and your child.
Tears began streaming down your face, you threw your arms around Stephen and hugged him tightly. "I love you," you whispered. "I want us to be a family. Can we please give it another try?"
Stephen hugged your back, his eyes shining with love and happiness. "Yes," he said, his voice choked with emotion. "I love you too. I want to spend the rest of my life with you and our child. Let's make it work, please."
As you and Stephen held each other, you knew that you had been given a second chance.
