Chapter 3

Rohit's POV

I am in the living room and reading the newspaper as it is only 6am and I woke at 4am only today some how.

Then after a while I start doing exercise after jogging in the park.

When I came back it was already 7:30 AM.

I have only half an hour. Shit.

I was running up to my room when I had to stop abruptly when the telephone began to ring.

I turn around and picked it up "Hello" I heard a sweet voice

"Hello!"

"Finally you picked up the call" she said

"Who is this?" I ask knitting my brows

"I am" Someone snatched the phone from me and it was mom.

"What are you doing here Rohit? Go freshen up you are getting late for police station. I will take this call" She said and I nod.

I look at the phone once and then go to my room.

"How many times do I have to tell you that your husband doesn't live in this house! Wrong number" I heard mom

After freshening up I came down and Saw dad having breakfast.

I start eating after saying good morning to dad.

"Rohit" Mom says

"Yes mom?" I eat Paratha

"Are you married?" She asked and I choke ! Coughing Vigorously.

Dad Rubs my back and mom gives me water.

After sipping water and calming myself I say "Mom what are you saying?"

"I am just asking! It's been like more than one week a girl is calling and saying let me talk to my husband and all"

"So you think it's me?"

"Umm No but just confirming"

"Mom ! I have not married anyone" i say it clearly to her.

"Okay beta, calm down"

I relax "I am cool and You will see my wife would be the best one, Smart and hot" i wink at her

Then Dad hit my head from behind "Oye, First work and say yes to getting married"

"Dad i am not in that age yet, I am so handsome and young, i want to go on some dates atleast"

He glares at me and I pass a nervous chuckle "sorry" and start eating my food.

I look at Mom she is controlling her laugh.

After finishing my breakfast I quickly go to police station in Auto.

Yes I am yet to bye a Bike. I am saving money for that and soon I will travel on that.

I will not ask even 100 rupees from dad for that, I want to surprise them.

I want to see their expressions when I will buy it.

I reach the Station but something is happening in the station! I knit my brows.

"You are Late Officer Rohit ! Please stand in the Third line at the back" Aryan says and I immediately stand there.

"So looking at your physique and the way everyone is getting lazy in this station, we are going to take a pledge and everyone will follow it strictly" Aryan said and everyone began to look at each other in shock.

"Yes ! Don't be shocked. An officer should be fit and active, energetic and ready for any Case" He says "so pledge with me everyone"

We raise our hands "From Today onwards" He starts speaking
