Taehyung looked… well, on the verge of crying. And the way he was looking at that human just told him it wasn't the first time taehyung was seeing that person. And to Jungkook, the human didn't really look any different. 

And the alpha hasn't always been the best at comforting people in a public place, may it be his friend gikwang failing his entrance or Mina getting dumped by a blind date. Don't ask why Jungkook was there to witness that though, the alpha is willing to tell it on his own. 

Him and the guys had planned to book a table close to Mina's and her blind date's table, in case the date turned out to be an asshole. And well, he simply didn't show up. But really, that's not the point. The point right now is taehyung. 

And slowly cupping the omegas knee from under the table and caressing lovingly with the pad of his thumb was all he could do to comfort him as he anxiously waited for the things to unfold. 

And they did, when taehyung grabbed jungkook's hand tight and got out of the booth just for the omega to walk hurriedly towards the pink haired dude while dragging the alpha along. 

And the next thing he knew was taehyung throwing himself in the human arms and the boy didn't wait a single minute to hug him back as if their life depended on each other. He could hear both of them letting out the softest sobs while being buried in each other. 

Jungkook awkwardly stood there, mind recalling back to what taehyung had told him. Could this be— his best friend? Who had left for Japan? Oh yes. Human too, definitely him.

They pull apart and Taehyung looks at Jungkook, smiling as if he found the most precious jewel in the world, looking more complete than ever and for some reason, it makes Jungkook feel content too. And when taehyung softly grabs his hand, he couldn't hold back his smile as he wipes the tears from the omegas cheeks. 

"Ta-Taehyung?" The human mumbled, his doe eyes and chubby cheeks turning baby pink as he kept looking at Taehyung with so much adoration that it warms Jungkook's heart. He hopes this ends well, Taehyung really needs a good friend. 

A lover can always be a really good friend, but it's never the same. Everyone needs a best friend, because if you wanna bitch about your lover someday, who would you go to?

"Jimin." Taehyung whispered with so much hopefulness in her voice and the human nodded rapidly, smiling like an idiot. 

"You little shit! I missed you so much." Taehyung whimpered and jimin giggled, saying that he missed him too and then the human had looked at jungkook while tilting his head, and then looked back at taehyung with raised eyebrows and the omega flushed pink which made jungkook hold back his smirk.

"Jimin, This is my boyfriend, Jeon jungkook. And boyfriend, this is my traitor best friend, Park jimin. " Taehyung introduced as he clung to Jungkook's arm. 

"Nice to meet you, jimin." Jungkook smiles and puts his palm forward and jimin frowns and shows his first back in return. 

"I do the first bumps, handshakes are boring." Jungkook couldn't help but smile as his palm morphed into a fist and he bumped it with the human who smiled in return, getting all his attention back on taehyung. 

"I need to tell you so much!" Jimin squealed as he went to his toes cutely and Taehyung just smiled back, looking somewhat mad. 

"You really do, you fucker. I have questions too, like why did you ignore my calls? I didn't change my number." Taehyung replied with his arms folded to his chest and the pink head gulped, Adam's apple bobbing in his throat and eyes full of regret. 

"I'll tell you everything." Jimin mumbled as they walked back to their table where Lucas was looking at the scene with a sad smile and rapidly trying to blink away the tears that were forming on the brim of his eyes. Jungkook was the first one to notice this.
