Chapter 4: Noctis

Years later~

It's been a few years ever since Y/N got here in this world. She had been trained a lot by King Regis but also by Cor a lot in order to become a good warrior with secret powers. In these times, she got time to find out her powers and she indeed succeeded in finding out her wings and they were pure fluffy white wings instead of black ones like in Final Fantasy VII. Sephiroth had black wings like Genesis but Angeal was the only one with white wings that Y/N knew. Good thing that she wasn't experimented on by Shinra but instead like a gift from the Gods and by previous rulers of Lucis. 

Y/N became a strong warrior and was the second-best in combat behind Cor. She was close to his level of battle but Cor was seen as an immortal so Y/N was also seen as one by many. During the patrols, Y/N would help those in need like men, women, and children. She helped many already and in return, she got her own gil, potions, and especially respect from them. She was even loved by them and seen as their guardian angel, which King Regis knew about along with Cor. She decided to not dare tell Noctis that she was not from this world but unknown to her, King Regis told his son already about a brand new warrior that's not from this world and to Noctis, it was very unique that he wanted to meet her so King Regis scheduled a meeting to watch Y/N train with Cor. Normally, Noctis wasn't a child anymore like Y/N knew but she heard that King Regis would be there with his son and that made the poor warrior nervous.

Y/N was now a ready warrior that stood in front of Cor, a few meters away as they waited for the right moment to strike. The king didn't arrive yet with Noctis but Y/N asked Cor's permission to start fighting. That's when they started to fight, their weapons clashed together. Both of them dodged each other's attacks and Y/N didn't realize the doors opened and two figures entered the training room.

Noctis, the young prince, was immediately looking at the girl that was fighting against Cor. He watched with amazement at how she was fighting against the strong Crownsguard. He was the Marshal, after all. His whole attention was on her and Y/N alone. Y/N was about to use her powers when she saw King Regis with... Noctis?! She stopped in her tracks and lost control, causing her immediately to fall on the ground on her back, causing her to groan. Cor stopped in his tracks before running to her and jumped in the air to strike her but Y/N saw it coming and dodged, pushing Cor away hard as she can she immediately stood up, ready to attack but Cor... dropped his weapon on the floor, causing Y/N to ease her weapon by pulling it away, in shock. Why did he drop his weapon? 

"Good job fighting, Y/N. But remember, do not get distracted by something else. Never lose your focus."

Y/N nodded with respect. "I understand, Cor."

Noctis couldn't help but chuckle. "Heh, sounds like Gladio."

Y/N looked into Nocitis' eyes and got lost in them, while the prince was lost in her E/C ones. There was something between them as if they found a lost connection. That's weird. There were no soulmate stories in Final Fantasy if Y/N remembered correctly. Well, she only played FFXV and FFVII, not anything else. Explain why Noctis and Y/N felt a connection, then. It felt like they found each other, long-lost lovers.  Y/N was also familiar with Gladio since he was an asshole when it came to grieving, I mean, he kinda was one with Noctis grieving about Luna's passing. 

"Noctis, this is Y/N, the new Crownsguard," Cor introduced her. 

Y/N walked up to the prince while in her armor and stuck her hand out to him. Noctis shook her hand and smiled. Finally, someone who didn't use formalities since he was a prince but unknown to him, Y/N knew already that he doesn't like to use formalities when talking to other people. 

"Hi, nice meeting you, Y/N," Noctis said with a smile. 

Y/N nodded with a smile and was about to bow when she remembered Noctis wanted to be treated with respect but as a normal person. She looked at King Regis and bowed to him, who smiled in return. Noctis was taken aback by Y/N. She didn't bow like everyone did upon meeting him but he felt... happy. Someone saw him as a normal person.
