Aria's pov:-

My first day at university was off to a stellar start.

Disaster struck as I turned a corner, colliding with a student, sending papers flying.

"I'm really sorry!" I exclaimed, panic-stricken, as I rushed to help gather the scattered sheets. Great Aria , just great.

The guy's scowl deepened. "Freaking clumsy people." He mumbled.

My retort trembled on the tip of my tongue: "Excuse me! I apologized. It's not my fault you're taking up extra space."
But I bit back, reminding myself: no drama on the first day.

"Here, I'm sorry again," I said, handing him the gathered papers, likely a crucial project.
He snatched them, his annoyed glare lingering.

"Rude," I thought, stifling a sigh.

"You're welcome, I guess."

I give myself a pep talk: "Wow, best of luck, girl. Just what you needed."

Shaking off the earlier encounter, I easily located my classroom – a welcome relief.

Arriving early, I claimed a secluded spot in the back, my preferred sanctuary.

As students trickled in, the room transformed from quiet to bustling.

Our professor began with a warm introduction and an inspiring speech, ushering in the new semester.

I listened intently, absorbing the information.

As the class concluded, I exhaled, feeling accomplished.

"Survived my first class – not bad," I thought, smiling.

Most of the material resonated with me, bolstering my confidence.

A promising start.

As I gathered my belongings during the 15-minute break, a gentle "Hi" echoed from behind.

I turned to face a stunning girl with black and purple hair, towering over me.

"I'm Natalia," she introduced herself, flashing a warm smile.

Her edgy style – black denims, jacket, and knee-high boots – contrasted with my own.
Her eyebrow piercing added a touch of boldness.

"Hi, I'm Aria," I replied, smiling.

"Beautiful eyes," I blurted, genuine admiration slipping out. Well everyone likes compliments so it's okay , I told myself.

"Oh... Thanks, I really like your outfit. You look cute," Natalia said, her smile teasing.

"Thanks..." I beamed, thrilled she liked my carefully chosen attire.

"And you're sweet too," she added, her eyes sparkling.

"So, Ari... Can I call you that?" Natalia asked.

I shrugged, I love nicknames.

"You know, today's my first day, and I recently moved here. You seem nice, not like those...," Natalia trailed, nodding toward a cluster of girls channeling Mean Girls vibes.

"Wow." I said . They do look like those girls from the movie.

"So, friends?" Natalia asked.

"Sure," I replied, no hesitation.

"Me too. I also just moved here."

Natalia's eyes lit up. "Oh, that's good."

"What's your next class?" she inquired.
