Anguirus, who has grown bigger, begins to sniff up some people to see if someone is there. He then sees Godzilla, who was marching from the red dust, growling softly.

He looks around his domain, satisfied that this city is now his, before he sees Anguirus. He approaches the Ankylosaur, the beast growling defensively. However, before anything could happen, Godzilla hears a screech.
Rodan flies ahead from Godzilla's area, and screeches at him. Godzilla roars in response, angered that the pterosaur opposes him. He charges his ring again, intending to shoot Rodan down.

He shoots at him multiple times, but Rodan dodges the attacks, before striking Godzilla by slamming to him head on. The impact knocks the theropod down, and Rodan begins pecking at Godzilla's neck, but Godzilla bites Rodan on the neck, before swirling the bird onto buildings. Rodan manages to get out of Godzilla's grasp, and the pterosaur strikes at the new king's back. Realizing his claws and teeth won't work, he uses his tail to hit Rodan on the back, making him flee. The two roar at each other angrily.
Before the fight could go any further, a bomb is dropped onto Godzilla, the impact causing tremendous amounts of blood coming out of Godzilla, who roars in pain. Rodan attempts to fly away so Godzilla could get killed by the military, but the monster king subdues the other bomb with another blood tendril, and after covering the bomb, it grabs Rodan. But the two instinctively attack fighter jets that were behind the other. Godzilla looks at Rodan, who also looks at him, and the two smile, seeing that they can work together. Godzilla shoots his halo rings at more fighter jets, either destroying them or making them crash, while Rodan uses his supersonic speed and wings to blow up the jets. After destroying Bowser's troops, Godzilla and Rodan begin heading to the same direction, Godzilla patting Rodan with his tail (because he can't use his arms).
