Chapter 236: Eldest Aunt, This Little Baby Has Been Bullied!

Two of Caras front teeth were knocked off, one of her hands was fractured. Of both her legs, one of her kneecaps had been crushed. It should be able to recover after surgery without affecting knee movements such as walking or bending. However, Cara was not young anymore. Her recovery rate would not be as quick as a younger person. It would affect her daily life greatly.

It would be impossible for her to move around like before. She would not be able to run or jump without thinking twice and the weather would affect her condition.

If Cara was able to nurture herself back to health properly, there was a possibility that she would not be in too much pain once she recuperated.

Somi sat in the wheelchair with one of her arms in a cast. She was not able to move the wheels herself and could only rely on someone to push her.

She watched Cara in bed. She looked helpless while in her state of anesthesia. Somi had mixed emotions, she did not know what to say to her.

Lets go back first. You cant be sitting here for too long. You can visit again when you feel better, said Jungkook as he looked at Cara indifferently. There was no sign of emotions on his face, as if the Cara, who was lying on the hospital bed wrapped up like a mummy, was not related to him at all.

Somi no longer felt any resentment towards Jungkooks attitude of Cara. She accepted it calmly because even for her, she did not feel too much sadness towards Caras sorry condition. The mixed feelings in her were now relegated to just resignation to Caras situation. Somi had to admit that it was Caras retribution. She had brought this upon herself.

If Cara had not try to help Lu Markus and his son by snatching Somis phone, she would not have ended up this way.

If she had whole-heartedly treated Jungkook well and lived her life in content with Jeon Taeyoung, their father would still be alive today. Cara would have been able to take care of her husband and her children, and in return, have a responsible husband and enjoy the luxury that the Jeon family could have brought her.

In fact, what Cara had always wanted was always at the grasp of her hand, but she could not see it. She just had to choose the hard way and run after Lu Changyan and his father while degrading herself in the process.

Those two people could not compare to Jeon Taeyoung and Jungkook in all aspects!

Somi could only feel disappointment. There was a chill in her heart. It was difficult to feel any pity for Cara.

That was why she did not resent Jungkooks attitude. She nodded at him and they went back to her ward.

What are you going to do about Cara? Old Lady Jeon asked Jungkook while Lisa poured her a glass of water.

Old Lady Jeon did not want them to take care of Cara, she did not care if they called her wicked over it. Cara had caused the death of her son, and now, she nearly killed her granddaughter in an attempt to sabotage the entire Jeon family. There was no point in being kind over Cara.

Old Lady Jeon took a sip of the water Lisa poured for her, which was a perfect temperature. She placed the glass on the table and said, Ill say this out loud first. When it comes to Cara, its already very kind of me to not wish her dead. Both of you are her children. If you would like to take care of her, there is nothing much I can say about it. If you insist on it, I will not object, but Id like to voice out first that I wont agree to it. I understand Jungkook well, you wont bother with her. Somi, I know youve lived with her for 18 years and have strong ties with her. You wont be able to just let her be. You can take care of her, but the Jeon family will not help you with it. If you are unhappy with this old lady for making this decision, Ill accept it. I refuse to help her out with anything.
