Savannah's P.o.V
Once I attended to the slash on my arm I tried to find the thing that both the boy and me. But I had no luck, it's almost as if the thing vanished, everything about the area now felt off. Less welcoming like there was a hidden evil buried deep within it, but that could possibly be the case. The scary thing is I don't think it was here yesterday. It had followed me, or had it fallen too?
I needed to distract myself so I checked on the healing progress of my arm, seeing as though I'm an angel wounds heal a lot faster for me than a humans would. But that doesn't mean the pain isn't there or that it doesn't leave scars. The only reason I have no scars is because I've always been careful with what I do. Nothing that can get me too hurt, but I still took risks and lived a little.
My arm would hopefully heal by tomorrow but no matter what there would always be a scar. "Well this sucks," I huffed. I didn't notice it at the time but ever since the thing left it's been extremely humid out, the sun was beating down through the trees too which only added to the heat. Lets just say I was lucky I wore white on the day I fell, granted I had worn a dress but it was a simple one, and the only real exposed skin was my back now that my wings were gone, from my knee down, and my arms.
"Well there's nothing I can really do here, so I've got two choices I can either go deeper into the woods or leave them all together." I thought to myself. Leaving the woods was just an empty thought however, I knew well enough that I couldn't leave them just yet. They were the only safety I had from the humans and weather, well not really that much better but it was something. I knew I wouldn't have to deal with people asking me where I lived, if I was lost, and worst of all where I came from, because only I really knew there was no correct answer for that question.
I sighed, "Woods it is then," I climbed back up into the trees with little struggle and began jumping from branches that seemed like they could support me. All I knew for sure was that I wasn't letting my guard down, whatever attacked me earlier was still around, and very much dangerous.
I kept jumping, unaware of where I was really going until I thought I found something. A tiny house made of wood high in the trees, it looked abandoned due to all the over grown tree branches around it. I was only proving my theory right when I had to pry the door open and layers of dust and cob webs filled the area.
The house was tiny and didn't have any necessaries but a small pull out bed and a lantern or whatever it was, a few knocked down candles and a small thing that looked like a shaft.
This place honestly wouldn't be to bad if I had supplies to fix it. Well maybe someday soon I'll be able to, angels before me have made it okay, why can't I?
