so...i finally finished writing the final chapter after months of having decided to discontinue this book 🤡
in truth i'd had part of the final chapter written for a while and i'd put this book down out of frustration because i wanted jay's part of the story to be lengthier and to be more, but all i could force out of myself for him was two chapters. so i realized as i was writing the final chapter that two was all i needed to encapsulate the importance of jay, because, of course, he was there from the very beginning of the story as well, just on the sidelines.
anyway~
