Sunghoon wasn't there on monday, but you didn't worry. He might've simply gotten sick or had something going on. You only started to worry when you called him at lunch, and it went to voicemail. You tried calling him everyday that week, and texting him too, but you got no replies.

"Hey, what happened?" Jay leaned onto the wall next to you. The hallway was empty and you could hear the rush of voices streaming from the cafeteria. You crossed your arms and moistened your lips. "He's been gone a week and he isn't picking up my calls. He won't answer my texts. He leaves me on read."

"So he's ghosting you?" Jay raised his eyebrow. You shook your head. "No, no. Something's off." You frowned. Jay leaned over until he was facing you. "Whatever it is, you'll find out. He's famous after all. And if not, you could also invade his house." He said matter of factedly.

You sucked on your bottom lip. "Thanks, Jay." Jay gave you one of his small real, real smiles and his eyes turned soft. He couldn't hold back a small and breathy laugh. "No problem." His eyebrows quirked up as he leaned away. He touched your hand lightly. "Just know I'm here for you if you need me."

You tugged onto his hand until you were holding it and gave it a small squeeze. "Thank you so, so, much. You're the best."

"I know, and you're welcome. When you're not being dumb and I need to yell at you like you're five," He paused, "You're a decent human being."

"Decent?" You crossed your arms and pouted sarcastically. Jay moistened his lips and gave you a once over, backing off to walk away. "Yeah, decent." He gave you his crooked smile and left you.

You swallowed and watched him walk away. Sighing, you took your phone out of your uniform pocket. You tried calling Sunghoon again, but the effort was worthless.

Voicemail.

That weekend, you were curled up on the couch all wrapped up in a blanket and trying again at texting Sunghoon. You frowned, insisting that you would go to his house. You would go out at 9:30pm on a sunday, in your pajamas, and go to his house. Even then you didn't get a reply.

You groaned and pulled the blanket over your head, tossing your phone out onto the couch. "Stop leaving me on read!!" You whined and kicked your feet. You felt a prick of angry and upset tears filling your eyes; stupid tears.

You mumbled his name and hugged the blanket close to your body. What had you done wrong? Was he okay? Did he leave?

Like you were being favored, but at the same time not, you got your answers. You got your answers because your dad happened to be watching the news. You threw the blanket off like you were feral when you heard his name. You stood up and stared at the tv.

"As of recent news, the famous teenage figure skater, Park Sunghoon, has moved back to continue his career and denied the rumors. No one knows where he disappeared for those months, and no one is offering up information. Sunghoon has denied the rumors about the violent activities and told the media that some kids at his school tried to lure him and his little sister out but they both only ran away. As for the rumors about the teacher, they are completely false but because of the incident with the other students, the Park family has informed that Sunghoon will be going to a private school and those students expelled."

"Wow," Another reporter said. "That could've been cleared up easily in the first month." She laughed. "Anyway, onto our next story..."

You were frozen in place. You stepped back and fell onto the couch. You crossed your legs and swallowed, staring blankly at the carpet.

"Y/n...are you okay?" Your father asked. You looked up at him for a moment before shaking your head slightly. "Not really." You mumbled. You pulled the blanket around your shoulders and got up to go to your room. The weather was warm but you felt all of a sudden cold.
